octopus.energy/power-ups/I have just switched to Octopus energy after along running fight with Shell energy who took over my account with Green. I now get electricity at 7.5p per kWh at night. Obviously I charge my car at night and I'm setting my heat pumps and water to come on for a hour before dawn to take advantage of this cheap electric. But does this hail the return of the night storage radiator?

I hope not. They were shite. They worked, and new tech would make them work better. They also solve the issue of heat pumps in certain properties. And free/cheap electricity when we produce more energy than we can use. Will any of you admit this is a good step in the switch to renewable energy. |

Currently, there is no special limit in mind-zone regarding the subject itself.
Mind zone limitations are all about the form of conversation rather than the subject matter.

Back to the octopus.
I predict problems with their tariffs. If they supply electricity for free this fact will likely have to be reflected in their prices elsewhere (ie the overall deal) - if people exploit it
