Doesn't look much like a prison does it. I suspect there are many people in this country who are living in far less comfortable conditions. According to the Ministry of Justice, Low Newton has 340 inmates and ‘is committed to providing a safe and educational environment where prisoners can plan for a positive future and learn new skills to help them on release’. On arrival, prisoners meet professionals who support them with their health, well-being and personal development as they are eased into the facility for two weeks. Low Newton has previously brought sheep and goats for inmates to pet and they can look after rabbits and birds. linkIt's a pity the victims of crime aren't treated with the same level of comfort and understanding.

A gilded cage is still a cage. She is never leaving. That's enough for me.

I hope the food there is terrible. I've only worked in a prison kitchen once and I was feeding the guards. Worst agency job ever. I was actually locked in the mess kitchen without a key. I spent all week thinking about being burnt to death in a fire. This was a high security prison for sexual offenders just to top it off. Up near Belvoir Castle somewhere. 1,500 nonces.

Would you prefer a cess filled cell with cockroaches in it for her, Red? As we abandoned the death penalty and hard labour, this is what we have instead. She could stitch a few mailbags.

TBH I think it's all wasted on her. A prison like that should only be there for lesser crimes and for people who aren't totally evil.

This could be said about any child killer or even anyone involved in certain serious crime. It's all a bit mushy really.

If all she was, was mentally ill, fine, but she's murdered at least seven babies. I'm all for locking her up in a grey cell with concrete walls, a concrete bed, a basic toilet, and no comforts. And then throwing away the key.

And then throwing away the key. It's those people whose lives she has destroyed who now have to find the strength to keep going that I feel for. Seriously, if I was one of her victims, and there are many, I wouldn't feel justice has been served after seeing those pictures.

And then throwing away the key. Then why not go back to the good old days where they had a cage and people could go and poke her and taunt her like they did at bedlam for their amusement. If she is mentally ill and guilty then she should be locked up for everyone’s safety but an illness is an illness mental or physical and the conditions you describe are for petty revenge and nothing to do with protecting society.

Not just revenge, deterrent so the next would be killer can see what would await them.
Rest of life in a luxury prison, isn't a deterrent.
