Can't see what the issue with footballers is - all they would be required to do is spend a weekend a month coaching kids from deprived areas (which many of them do now anyway). This scheme is not going to stop them playing football. So you don't realise that football matches take place at weekends, but have a football supporter as an avatar? 🤔 🙈 |

Oh my word, you do realise that midweek matches are in addition to weekend matches, not instead of? 😳 So for once a month a player will be unavailable for selection at a weekend (but still available midweek) - and this is a reason not to implement the policy... Well I admire your clutching at straws but surely you can do better than this? |

Who he /she? I'm sure at least a couple of our world class athletes were in the military and had world class careers (Kelly Holmes for one and Princess Anne's first husband Mark Phillips plus others) Seem to remember that Elvis had to do national service (and he was actually famous) |
