There’s a lot of skills involved in kitchen fitting afaik. If your company did well then you must have been good at it . I doubt that there are many general print companies around now let alone print finishers . T’internet killed them off. My company did pretty ok. Paid to set up my current business. Printing is definitely a dying art, kindle books are much cheaper and easier to read and the stories are just the same. Still I hope it saw your career out? I admire skill . Inventing a new concept and making a living out of it is a hell of a thing . I can’t complain about the print . I did consider going into business with a print finishers in Edmonton about 20 years ago . If had then I would of lost my house . I worked with an ex director of quite a large local finishers in my last job . He got shafted by a partner and was paying off his debts in his late 60s. |

For the same reason that I object to be required to be licensed to leave the house, go to the shops or visit a library. Or talk to your neighbors - which is essentially what the internet is. I already covered this, stop lying. I am not suggesting you register just to join a forum (although you already do) But we need some way to check websites are genuine and stop scammers |

So I re-mortgaged my home, sold one of the kids and opened the first one. It just took off and a year later I was approached by an investor. We have 10 now across the country and still growing. Its been quite a ride and Covid cost us about £1.4M but onward and upward. Great fun. Business can be a bitch, sorry for your ex director friend, that sucks. |

There is a programme on TV where cases of spammers ‘take over’ peoples mobiles and computers by persuading the victim to download an app . Iirc all of these spammers are based abroad. This particular one was based in London:

Fair enough but if only UK citizens need to register then they could just move abroad . Assuming licenses to use the internet would be have any affect anyway . |

I can't see that making uk citizens register to make a website is going to make much odds here. How do you reach that conclusion. I for one would welcome the ability to check on the authenticity of a website and those acting within it. It could also be used to prove identity of those calling by phone and to block those who have been found out. Many of you are perhaps unaware that google already requires websites to offer proofs of identification, all I'm after is for it to be formalised. And for individuals to carry the same security. |
