Imo Arthur Mullard and Warren Mitchell’s Alf Garnett is the nearest to the old cockney accent that I know .
I’m talking about East Enders born before WW2
Mullards was a much lazier way to speak than the Essex accent and reminds me of the old boys in my family and working in Stratford in the early 70s.

Dickens certainly thought so. Dickens died in 1870. So did Dickens claim that “ morals” were preached less in Tudor times and/ “ moral times “ are measured by how much they are preached ? It’s curious to think anyone could believe that the strongest of ‘ moral times ‘ was during the reign of Victoria. It was certainly the time when morals were most preached. Was it? There is a research scientist, a doctor i forget his name, i will find out, that researched near death experiences, applying scientific methods, from thirty years ago. He started in southampton, then moved to the usa as a cardiac specialist etc well versed in research. He says there is life after death. Like Plato in his book the Republic, centuries ago, that documented a near death experience. The internet is full of them if you look, there are fake ones, but you can tell trhe difference by the quality of the person, their authenticity. In my mind the power of denial is almost too strong, that evidence that does not fit your world view is almost unbreakable, no matter what. That no matter how solid the evidence, that denial kicks in, or can it be something else?, like a limited iq. How can near death be denied, its there, its not hooey. its not. The dying, oxygen starved brain suffers chemical breakdowns which give rise to those, near death, delusions.
It's not much different to being drunk or on drugs.
That's what I want . I don’t want the selection process of Christianity, I don’t want the absolute hell of being constantly reincarnated either. I want the peace of oblivion after the final hallucination of an afterlife. |

100% of cross channel criminals enter this country from the safe EU state of France. It is absolutely absurd that a criminal can claim asylum having entered this country from France.
