Lefties on the ‘ thick’ end of the doofus spectrum seem to be obsessed by Nazi Germany.

I’m not the one who believes politicians. You are. Don’t project your naivety at me. I think we in this country have seen a big decline in standards. There were far more capable politicians in the 1980s than we have in the current lot.
Lying is the option for those who can't achieve it.
and worse
Define standards in the context of your post . Not interested in random youtube videos .

Nope. It’s universal. Wherever you don’t see it … they have fooled you too. Your simple world does not exist. It's not all black and white. Black and white is classical logic (Aristotle et al). Gottlob Frege extended it, but news has not reached the tabloids yet! I’m not the one who believes politicians. You are. Don’t project your naivety at me.

It’s an art alright and I’ve seen it since I was a kid . Selling” I lied yesterday but today I’m telling the truth “ is a fine skill. Perhaps it's a necessary skill.
Ultimately, all politicians are populists because they all need votes in order to achieve anything.
Let's say we have two propositions:
1) The Right Thing but it's unpopular 2) The Popular Thing but it's not right
So what do we do? Promise The Right Thing and lose votes (and so be unable to do The Right Thing anyway)?
Or promise The Popular Thing and then do The Right Thing once elected (and be called a liar)?
Or attempt a middle ground of some sort?
And that's the juggling act that every politician is performing all the time.
(NB "The Right Thing" may of course be subjective but it may also be the necessary or even the only possible thing).
I agree. The thing is that considering this and other things we should bear this in mind when voting or assessing our politicians. Politicians sell us a constructed reality then sell us reasons why it never happened…then sell us a new constructed reality ….

Perhaps the population is so thick that they're not worth the time and should be treated like cattle. Possibly. Most people just want to go work, pay the bills , have a bunk up and maybe go on a holiday . They generally aren’t interested in politics and vote accordingly. Those who have an interest in politics soon realise that they don’t have much of a choice anyway . Politicians don’t need to tell the truth to be elected, in fact telling the truth voiding be a liability

Politics is the art of lying . Labour politicians embrace it as much as the people they claim to hate. It's not universal. There are some straight politicians around. I quite like Geert Wilders. I think there might have been some OK ones in the Cons as well. One that comes to mind was the farmer who was thrown out for looking at saucy pictures on his phone in parliament instead of listening to the shit being dispatched from the dispatch box. I checked him out and the constituents say he was a great MP, and really knew his stuff. I think he also had a lot of experience in the faming industry, and could have been a helpful addition to the intelligence of that place, but I think there was a purge on. Now all we are left with in that party is on par with Satanists, like child fiddlers and thieves. That's the "Do what thou wilt" philosophy. Nope. It’s universal. Wherever you don’t see it … they have fooled you too.

Politics is the art of lying . Labour politicians embrace it as much as the people they claim to hate. It's not really an art. I was on here sharing the fact that Labour will say and do anything for power. I didn't even need to think about it either. Those who are currently supporting Labour embraced the lies and treachery. Even now they're lying about not lying. It’s an art alright and I’ve seen it since I was a kid . Selling” I lied yesterday but today I’m telling the truth “ is a fine skill.

So choosing a Nigerian equals bent but choosing a German equals not bent. Add the references to white apartheid African leaders and we have a rather cryptic and half baked bunch of insinuations. Im not bothered about any ‘ racism’ involved, I just can’t find a rational reason within your argument. It's my view and it comes from my experience. Not everything in life is rational. I want to see an Englishman run the country who is moderate, intelligent and moral with a good track record of solid experience of the world. Is that too much to ask? It’s not an unreasonable thing to ask.

Jenrick could do it because he’s a white man then . Do you think that Badenoch will make us all more Nigerian? She will take the piss like Johnson and be as arrogant as hell. It's just a bent country brought about by a bent culture. I mean if we are going to have a foreigner, why not invite a German say. Germans are really efficient and tidy people and get the job done. So choosing a Nigerian equals bent but choosing a German equals not bent. Add the references to white apartheid African leaders and we have a rather cryptic and half baked bunch of insinuations. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious is a made up word and it’s not political. Baggy no returns . Nevertheless diversity is not apartheid and apartheid is not diversity . It's all a load of shit. Shit is the new Tory brand.
I thought Jenrick stood a chance of pulling the whole thing back to sense, but Tories don't do sense so here we are, complete with third world opposition to communism.
