Anyone travelling to an EU country after 10th Nov will need to have fingerprints taken and/or their photo taken. This is likely to mean longer queues in passport control.
Then in 2025 further requirements (ETIAS) will come into force, where you will need to fill in forms, gain prior authorisation to enter and pay a fee.
One more Brexit bonus, along with losing our right to live and work ine EU and the £60bn+ economic hit.

With mass migrations of people around the world and with some of those people with criminal records and or intent it has become necessary to try and keep track of who these people are .Biometrics help in that and is a small price to pay for our safety . Most countries now ask for biometrics when entering the country or applying for a visa . The EU ? fuck em .

That's a real first world problem.

Look on the bright side. You'll be able to use those extra hours in the lines at passport control making friends with other non-Europeans from Nigeria, Pakistan, Mongolia, Moldova and all sorts of other interesting places. Perhaps even striking up long-lasting holiday liaisons or romances.

Unfortunately I'll never have an opportunity to experience such joys. Do tell us how you enjoy it.
And to Jonksy - it doesn't matter how you arrive at the end of the passport queue, Ryanair, Eurostar, rubber dinghy, clapped out 4x4 or even Shanks's Pony, the wait and thrilling diversity you'll experience while waiting to be let in will be just the same.
If I we were you I'd give Europe a miss this year and try Clacton instead, a place that's said to be going up in the world.

How’s the freedom of movement going with more and more eu countries reimposing border controls?

I'll be driving into Spain later this month so I'll let know, but early reports suggest little if any problem as long as you and/or your vehicle don't fit 'the profile'.

Gladly, I'll never experience the joys of being a British expat living on the continent post-Brexit.

My horizons are broader than an insular Europe. Gladly, I'll never experience the joys of being a British expat living on the continent post-Brexit. Smart move, that way you'll be able to avoid the 50% increase in entrance fees for many popular tourist attractions coming into force in 2025 for non-EU residents.
And yes, I'm afraid that Brexit has kyboshed any hopes you might have had of finding an affordable bolt-hole on the continent when the balloon goes up. Never mind eh.

The wankers would have to pay me to enter any EUSSR member states...

Just throw your passport away and claim to be a gay refugee...
