And Harold Wilson that is why the Tories were in power for 18 years The Prime Minister immediately prior to Margaret Thatcher was James ( Jim ) Callaghan It was the militant unions who handed the 1979 general election on a silver tray to Margaret Thatcher "The Winter of Discontent". Labour has two enemies which have prevented them from government (1) The Tories and (2) The far Left So apart from the opposition, their worst enemy is... Themselves. As I'm sure most of us would agree, fiddles. đ¤Ł

Well who would have thought it? Labour peer tipped to be next ambassador to the US is friend of Lord Alli...... The frontrunner in the race to be Britainâs next ambassador to Washington has close links to Labour donor Lord Alli, The Telegraph can reveal.
Baroness Valerie Amos, a former UN under-secretary general and cabinet minister under Tony Blair, is widely spoken of in diplomatic circles as a top candidate for the role.

But we can judge the Conservatives on 14 years You cannot judge a new governments record on just three months, for a start off there has yet to be a Budget Statement, we have not completed a single financial year, everything is mostly as it was under the Tories. Tangible indications of early decisions taken now, and also what might be announced on October 31st will not become truly evident until 1st April 2026. Criticisers of the new government are basically condemning them before they have really got started. You cannot instigate good sustainable growth or repair the deficit, or turn around the NHS in 13 weeks, its simply a case of the Tory apologists been predictable. 1) We kicked the Tories out, that doesn't mean we actually like Labour. They filled the void, that's all. 2) We can judge the behaviour of the new government because of the Winter Fuel Fiasco, the Donations / Bribes Fiasco, their attitude to the pub trade (which is on its knees and getting no help), their tax everyone until we squeal (rather than just those who can afford it). 3) I don't think we've mentioned the deficit yet, or the NHS. 4) Want a strong public sector? It requires a strong private sector to pay for it. Labour's mistake EVERY time they get in is to attack the private sector.

We've had to listen to years of Starmer and Rayner preaching about the Tory cronyism, and here they are the biggest worst sleaziest government we've ever had the misfortune to have, at least the Tories were discreet, the Labour party have no shame, they are openly and blatantly taking bungs, freebies, and making sure all their Cronies are handsomely rewarded with top jobs, peerages and access to No. 10, as a thanks for getting them in to power.

Well unless I'm mistaken that was an 'investment' from a company keen to fuck its workforce over at every possible opportunity. I'm not mourning their decision to fuck another country's workforce. Some investments have a hidden price not worth paying We don't have any jurisdiction once they are in international waters. It's the job centre that forces people to apply to these people. These are FERRIES that operate between Britain and France, with an Eau that claims jurisdiction overall of it. There are no international waters here, and even if there were, we have absolute jurisdiction over which vessels we allow to dock. It would be a trivial matter to force P&O to reflag their ferries as British, or French, neither of which allow Albanian pay rates.....

I wonder if Biden chose her? He seems to be keen on black female shortlists and like Blair, Starmer appears to be a Whitehouse yes man.

For example , labour have been promising to abolish the House of Lords for over a century. Its been in most of their manifestos , and practically every leader including starmer has dangled that carrot for the brothers and sisters. Keir Starmer: I will abolish House of Lords to ârestore trust in politicsâ
Exclusive: Labour leader plans a new elected chamber after accusing successive Tory governments of handing peerages to âlackeys and donorsâ www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/nov/19/keir-starmer-i-will-abolish-house-of-lords-to-restore-trust-in-politics
How's that going then sid?

How's that going then sid? Labour to add dozens of peers to back its policies and improve gender balance Exclusive: Party has pledged to abolish House of Lords but plans initial appointments to bolster its benches.....
Labour is to appoint dozens of peers within weeks in an attempt to push through its policies and improve the representation of women in the House of Lords, the Guardian has learned.
Senior Labour figures have drawn up a list of peerages to bolster the party benches and help implement its legislative programme if it wins the election on 4 July. The Conservatives have 104 more peers than Labour, while fewer than a third of the 784 members of parliamentâs second chamber are women.
The plan comes despite Keir Starmerâs pledge to eventually abolish the Lords and amid growing concerns over the ballooning size and cost of the chamber.
Starmerâs advisers and shadow ministers have successfully argued he needs to make the appointments in the short term. A number of Labour sources said there was a determination to increase the number of female peers and to appoint people who would be active. Several women currently outside politics are being lined up for peerages so they can also serve as ministers in a Labour government.

As we've seen, the Tories would fuck it up. And, as we are seeing, Labour will fuck it up even more. That remains to be seen.

You cannot instigate good sustainable growth or repair the deficit, or turn around the NHS in 13 weeks, its simply a case of the Tory apologists been predictable. Let me tell you something, everyone in the country is dreading the budget, including this government. Money is leaving this country faster than ever before, wealthy people are fleeing like rats from a sinking ship, and who can blame them. This shower are already the most unpopular government in living memory, can you imagine what it's going to be like after the budget in which Reeves is widely predicted to massively increase the tax burden. That useless socialist human rights lawyer who is masquerading as a prime minister is failing to meet even the low standards most people thought he just may achieve. He is clearly out of his depth, he is not only a national embarrassment, but an international embarrassment who has been found wanting. He will not last 12 months. My worry is, looking at the low standard of modern Labour politicians, any replacement is unlikely to be an improvement. For as long as you continue to be influenced by Tory propaganda you will continue to think up night mares.

Labour's idea of military training, how to get soldiers to come out as trans? Labour are fucking useless. Stop being silly, there is enough silliness on the forum without you joining in on it.
