English-speaking patients are being pushed to the back of the queue in waiting rooms at NHS hospitals in favour of patients who need an interpreter, The Mail on Sunday can reveal. Imperial College Healthcare, an NHS Trust with five hospitals across north-west London, prioritises patients who have been assigned an interpreter. It is unclear whether NHS trusts nationwide take this approach, but last night it sparked a row, with Tory leadership hopeful Robert Jenrick claiming the approach lets down British NHS patients. The former immigration minister told The Mail on Sunday: 'Brits are already waiting too long for treatment. The last thing they should be subjected to is the indignity of being pushed to the back of the queue. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13877611/English-speaking-NHS-Hospital-translator.html?ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490&ito=1490So there you have it posters, the NHS admit that English patients are pushed to the back of the queue in favour of any non English speaking minority. And lets not forget posters, 11,500 illegals have crossed the channel since Starmer became PM the vast majority of them young men fluent in Urdu/Arabic/Somali etc etc. Who now will disagree that the English are second class citizens, in England.

It's really a cost issue. The longer they keep these interpreters hanging about waiting, the more they are charged for their time. If the NHS could actually honour appointment times or stay within a reasonable, ie lower cost wait time, the problem wouldn't exist. But we all know how unlikely that is. The system needs a complete overhaul.

Perhaps since they are in England the NHS should work only in English, if people do not understand the language bring their own interpreter, pay for the interpreter or not come here at all. These are the choices English people make in foreign lands.

It's two tier everything if you're white English, and under this government it's going to get worse before it gets any better.

Indeed. It just confirms the two tier service. It's two tier everything if you're white English, and under this government it's going to get worse before it gets any better. NHS trusts spent at least Β£113,974,561 on interpreters during 2019-20 to 2021-22, an average of Β£725,953 per NHS trust that replied. Β£43,095,493 was spent on interpreters in 2019-20, the single largest year. This fell by 28 per cent to Β£31,050,708 in 2020-21 before rising by 28 per cent to Β£39,828,361 in 2021-22.

Speaking English should be a prerequisite to be able to live in the UK permanently . Tolerating a significant number if non English speaking UK residents encourages and enables ethnic cultural ghettos . Thatβs not the multiculturalism we were promised .
