Oh I’m sure the UK government are agreed that it’s better to indulge the Sweaties than to deprive them of their delusion However that does nothing to refute my original point and nothing to refute the fact the the word mangling dialect ( sorry language lol) is irrelevant to anyone but a few indulgent Scots . how many more climbdowns are you going to make in this thread benny? if the uk government and others accept Scots as a language , rather than a mangling dialect , who am I to argue? No climb downs from me tammy. Im just happy that you proved my original point . If the FREEDOM!( failed) fighting Scots want to mangle a few words from Rabbi Burns while they pipe out the haggis and pretend that they are something other than an extension of England then who would deprive them of that ?

Since around the turn of the 21st century, Scots has enjoyed somewhat of a revival. Scots has been recognised by the Council of Europe’s Charter on Regional and Minority Languages since 2001.
