At least 12 people have died and two are missing after a boat carrying migrants was ‘ripped apart’ while crossing the English Channel to Britain.
The boat carrying 65 people sank near Cap Gris-Nez, a cape off the coast of Pas-de-Calais, late this morning.
This sent dozens of people into the choppy waters of the English Channel, with a nearby French-flagged vessel sailing towards the broken boat to their aid.
A rescue operation has been launched that includes three helicopters.
Prefecture officials said ’several’ people rescued ‘require emergency medical care’.
The death toll, however, may be as high as 13, a maritime insider told AFP. This includes three minors.
France’s outgoing interior minister, Gérald Darmanin, said on X: ‘Terrible shipwreck in Pas-de-Calais, off Wimereux. The provisional toll stands at 12 dead, two missing and several injured.

The blame for deaths of illegal migrants and the deaths caused by illegal migrants lay squarely on the ones who encourage illegal migration or claim that we can’t stop it.

France has said we are to blame by having an unregulated jobs market, does that mean sweat shops?

While they know they can stay in the UK when they get here they will keep coming and some will lose their lives in the attempt .
The solution is clear as day , the will though is lacking

France does not have a point. The EU spent years encouraging mass migration from the middle east and Africa, and the French look the other way as tens of thousands of illegals, in broad daylight, drag dinghies down French beaches en route for England. This massive problem was designed and implemented from Brussels, with the full support of the French.

France has said we are to blame by having an unregulated jobs market, does that mean sweat shops? The jobs market in this country is irrelevant and has got absolutely nothing to do with the bloody French. There is one reason and one reason only why tens of thousands of illegals drag dinghies down French beaches every day. The French allow them to.

Our unregulated jobs market, free and easy access to welfare and total inability to deport anyone deemed to be here illegally show that France certainly does have a point. It is our systems and structures that are a massive draw for illegal migrants - it is not the weather.

France has said we are to blame by having an unregulated jobs market, does that mean sweat shops? I don't often agree with France but they're right here. It's dead easy for illegals to work in the UK. And there are other pull factors: - The language (English is the second language of the world) - Incredibly generous conditions for illegals - 4 star hotels, free cash, phone etc etc. In France they get nothing. - Access to full benefits when the get permission to stay - including housing - Free access to legal aid to fight deportaton etc - Light touch policing which means that they get away with most crimes - etc We're a soft touch. .

In Muslim countries where they all look like something off Dr Who, the criminals use British women with their tits hanging out as advertising bait. They appear on posters advertising UK asylum.

The person responsible for the safety of our people and our shores, the Home Secretary, made the following statement,
“Our hearts go out to the loved ones of all those who have lost their lives, and all those who have been seriously injured.”
Our forefathers must be spinning in their graves at what we have voted for.

There's little question that, for a variety of reasons, Britain is a much more appealing destination than any other Western European country, which is why they continue to come in their tens of thousands.
That's just the would-be asylum seekers. 'Regular' migrants are counted in the hundreds of thousands.
The UK will become the most populous country in Europe after Russia, according to the latest (2024) UN Population Projections, overtaking Germany around 2058, little more than a generation from now.

Hundreds of thousands of illegals are crossing the channel because the EU/French authorities allow them to.

Thanks to mass immigration England has been the most densely populated country in Europe since 2007, and living standards across all UK regions have been in decline for some years. Although I'm sure pro immigration lefties will insist that mass immigration and falling living standards are completely unrelated.
