Well we spent that £10 Billion on something... Covid-19? which in large part was extra health spending...

which in large part was extra health spending... A report from the Centre for European Reform shows that Brexit has hit harder than expected, with the drop in GDP being 5.5% rather than the 4% predicted by the OBR. I can totally understand how more money could have been spent on the NHS, but that money certainly didn't come from savings from leaving the EU. There haven't been any savings, only massive losses. Well the £10 Billion was spent on something - perhaps paying for illegal migrants to stay in 4 star hotels?. The point is that it is £10 Billion the government wouldn't otherwise have.

Someone will be along any moment to rebut that with details of the costs of setting up customs, lost revenues, etc. I can't be bothered going through all that again. The latest figures say that the loss to GDP has been 5.5%. This research was carried out by the Centre for European Reform, an admittedly pro-EU organisation. Their methodology seems to have been sound, but even allowing for significant error we're still in the realms of the OBR's 4% prediction. To put that into some sort of perspective, the recession/credit credit crunch 12 years ago saw a drop of 7% GDP. Is this a world first, Doc? Has there been a country in history that actually voted to impose economic hardship on itself like this?

Ohh FFS - you keep posting these claims from distraught remainers about lost GDP, and they keep getting debunked.. personally I liked the one you posted claiming a 4% drop in GDP - for that to be true you would have to believe that had we stayed in the EU we would have had twice the growth of Germany.. which I'm struggling to believe..

The good thing is that Brexit losses are now being reported by mainstream news programmes. The CER report was on ITV news. Expect support for Brexit to drop lower than the current 32% in the near future, Doc.

I hope they update in view of the CER's report, Doc. This was the only headline I could find from the New Statesman in today's Brexit news: The Tories’ 2019 manifesto looks beyond absurd three years on The Conservatives have fulfilled scarcely a single one of their election pledges. Mostly they have achieved the precise opposite.

Speculative numbers by the "Centre for European Reform". Taken with a clump of salt.
