"Not made a difference; probably made it worse." Yup, that's Brexit for us. And it seems to have put our misguided, immigrant-sensitive Brexit voters in a very difficult position. They must be so conflicted now. Brexit got rid of the tax-paying, NI-contibuting, retail-boosting Eastern Europeans only to be replaced by Asian students. And we can't return asylum seekers back to France now! I'm sorry but you gotta laugh. Excerpts from: www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/it-hasn-t-worked-the-leave-voters-who-have-changed-their-minds-about-brexit/ar-AA14R67o?ocid=EMMX&cvid=b3cfb2256d704547820a1706795fd054‘It hasn’t worked’: The Leave voters who have changed their minds about Brexit
Ms Shepherd and her friend Margaret Whitworth, 76, both voted to leave the EU. Mrs Shepherd says she did so because she was concerned about immigration and strains on public services, including schools and the NHS.
However, she admits that Brexit has “not made a difference”. Mrs Whitworth agrees, adding: “It’s probably made it worse.” Mrs Whitwoth says: “[Brexit] has really had a big impact, but mostly negative. You can’t think of any positives.” Mrs Shepherd adds: “I hope there’s a solution for future generations.” Mr Bower, 57, blames increased bureaucracy for hampering businesses that want to sell into the EU. “At the end of the day, you’re taking goods across the same bit of water, or the same bit of land, that prior to Brexit passed without fear or favour, and now all of a sudden the legislation says you need A, B or C to do it… it makes no sense,” he said.

The EU hasn't worked. It's stuck in limbo and can't get shot of national democracies.
Oh well.

Don’t worry . There is still enough Eastern Europeans to go round .A lot some of them can even speak English 👍 The numbers of people coming from Eastern Europe had already started to decline before Brexit. The EU is improving their home economies, so there was less need to migrate. They were hard-working, highly-productive people. It's only a matter of time before their hard work and the EU make Eastern Europe extremely wealthy.

One couple left their children in Poland and hadn’t seen them for a few years , another Polish woman has an 18 year old son and a husband at home ( don’t worry about her , she was shagging the manager) A Lithuanian woman ( who was shagging another manager) told me that there was a noticeable lack of young people in Lithuania because they had left to find work in Europe and yet another Lithuanian told me that you in Lithuania you were either poor or a crook. The living standards in Lithuania were third world level. Yes the migrants did well out of stagnating wages in the UK.

Eastern European migrants were highly productive. The UK will have to get its workers from somewhere. They might as well be hardworking.

My anecdotal’ evidence’ is merely a snapshot of reality .Afaik the Eastern Europeans that I met were not a special kind of Eastern European. So I will consider my experience with them over 15 or so years to be more of accurate picture than someone who hadn’t had that experience . As for hardworking …the East Europeans that come over here were mainly young , itinerant people with nothing to lose. They not only ignored the health and safety laws but afaik they were unaware of them. Initially they were agency workers recruited in their home countries , given a place in a flat and transported to the workplace. As they were young , dumb and given more money than they ever would at home , they worked seven days a week , 12 hours a day for weeks at a time . I’ll let that settle in .

There were two types of immigrant
Those willing to work Those not willing to work and either sponge or do crime.
A section of those willing to work undercut even retail staff to get jobs, this was not good migration it was globalisation's race to the bottom.

Hmmm, and now the lack of European labour is seen as part of the reason for the UK's current economic woes. Most EU prisoners in British jails were either Polish or Irish. I don't see how Brexit could have helped with reducing the latter.

I worked with a Lithuanian guy who sold some drugs to the people in the factory . He was a good assistant and one of the few I really trusted ( for good reasons ) . He worked hard and wanted to learn more skills but the management led him on and he left . He told me that both of his brothers were thieves and were in prison . He had been in prison too . I had stuff like that from Polish guys too.

I don't see how Brexit could have helped with reducing the latter. Several year ago i looked at this and the East Europeans were over represented as a percentage of inmates. I also know having stooped muggings that a certain amour of crime does not get reported, in fact I suspect most does not unless it requires somone needing hospitalisation.

They were no more hard working than their UK co workers . Your problem is that you believe that they were a great asset to us because you are ignorant. I hoped this might shed some light on your ignorance…it didn’t.

And let's not forget that the UK had been deporting its criminal class to the Costa del Crime for decades.
