For social housing. Rayner has said that immigrants, illegal or not have equal claim. They have not paid a penny into the system, and if they are old, cannot speak, or refuse to, will not pay anything.
Meanwhile, those that have worked for a pittance, struggled to bring up families, etc, get overlooked.

Surely Labour have signed their resignation from goverrnment over and over. There is a huge vacuum, a big chance for Reform to fill the void. Labour are a pox.

The point is we have our own wasters and scroungers there is little point in importing more. Plus we are looking at why someone who comes into the country illegally should have equal rights to social housing for those who have been waiting possibly for years. It makes little sense in terms of being fair in any size shape or form if one does not control the influx effectively. |

I think you'll find a lot of people say that. Heck, on this very forum you have at least one poster saying British-born ethnic minorities shouldn't be allowed to hold public office. Wait till they all get a taste of power and the next local elections come round and they see it's all downhill for them, they'll be dropping these unpopular polices as quick as Ang drops her knickers, Labour MPs will want more than one term in office and to do that they'll have to start reversing their grossly unpopular policies.

Well that's wrong on two counts. 1) under international law, The right to seek asylum is a legal right we all share. It isn't illegal to seek asylum, because seeking asylum is a legal process. 2) Even under UK law, which violates the above international law, your statement is wrong. In UK law, anyone entering illegally is automatically rejected for asylum status - even if they are a gay person escaping Iran, so no illegal immigrants would be granted asylum. Under current UK law, a Jew who was smuggled out of Nazi Germany and into the UK would be rejected for asylum status. |
