But the left have sought to destroy everything this country stood for and have succeeded in doing that for decades. How can anyone claim to stand for anything Tbe United Kingdom was yet vote for and actively enjoy engineering its destruction ? So Johnson illegally proroguing Parliament was "the left" destroying everything this country stood for? The current Government stating it is willing to break laws we signed up to in order to push through its legally questionable Rwanda policy is "the left" destroying everything this country stood for? What is sounds like you really hate is Democracy. All The Best Is it a democracy when 50,000 more people than voted for a party shout NO and the leader shouts back Fuck Off Is it a democracy when 52% of the voters shout OUT and the twat in power sits on his arse, does fuck all snd blames the ‘silly people who voted the way they did’ for causing the chaos his dogmatic ideological refusal to implement the will of the people created.

Texans like all Americans have very little history. They love us because we have lots of history. So lets put that to bed. To suggest that being forced into a supranational state in which electorates have no control over their unelected president or executive is a good thing, suggests to me that you are beyond help. You are brainwashed. You are a left wing ideologue, I suspect an inexperienced left wing ideologue. Imagine, a Briton complaining that the EU has an unelected head of state In reality there is no President of the EU, the post does not exist However, the President of the European Parliament is elected by members of the European Parliament, who themselves are elected by the people of Europe, not really any different to our Prime Minister. The President of the European Council is elected by the heads of government of member states. The President of the European Commission is officialy proposed by the European Council. We were never forced into a supernational state, it was a key manifesto pledge of Edward Heaths at the general election of 1970. In 1975 the Labour government put the question of membership to the electorate, and by an overwhelming majority, we voted to REMAIN. As for been a "left wing ideologue" ... It was a Conservative government who lobbied and took us into the EU, it was a succession of Conservative governments who took us deeper into the EU, including signing up for Freedom Of Movement, of which for some very odd reason, Blair seems to get blamed for. EU membership is not, and never has been a Left wing idea or principle, there are many leading Tories who have always been in favour of our membership. Edward Heaths 1970 conservative manifesto said that "Our sole commitment is to negotiate with the EEC , no more , no less " . The 1975 referendum asked if we wanted to remain in the EEC yes or no . I don't think any party back then stood on Joining the EEC . The problem many who became eurosceptic and then staunch leavers was the freedom of movement issue . When we joined the EEC and indeed confirmed our association with it in 1975 it was with countries of similar economic standing in Western Europe . The Freedom of workers as it was called was a benefit to everyone that needed workers and to workers alike mostly on short term contracts with all expenses paid by the employer .Nobody was leaving the country without a job to go to. Where it all went pear shaped was when the EEC morphed into various different forms until it reach its present form ,the EU . Expansion brought countries with much lower economic standards and freedom of workers became freedom of movement which led to mass immigration from Eastern Europe .The worst of that happened under Blairs watch ,Browne committing the final act of treason when he flew to Portugal in the dead of night to sign the Lisbon treaty . The Tories are as much to blame of course but labour were as much in control of the hook that took us deeper into the federalist programme Hopefully though the days of the Socialist Federal Europe are behind us . Europe is turning to its right wing / centre right parties who will reign back on the destruction of the nation state and halt if not reverse mass immigration from the continents to the south and east . Give it 50 years and it might well be worth rejoining

What the hell are you talking about? We voted for Brexit, we had Brexit. All The Best You suggested i had a problem with Democracy I’m highlighting the specific antics of the Labour Dictators in Wales that Sir SitOnAFenceALot lauded and praised as marking the way to go when he takes over in Number Ten When confronted with the fact he had done absolutely fuck all to cater for new customs procedures necessary to facilitate continued operation of Holyhead as a port under the post Brexit Trading arrangements, Mark Twatford Sorry Wankford No Sorry DRAKEford i knew there was a duck in there somewhere stood up at his pontification podium and said, verbatim, that tbe problem was a lot of silly people had voted for Brexit and if they had not, they would not be in the situation they are now. Unquote The reality is if only the Chinese Pox had taken this twat instead of Boris we would not be in the state the arrogant Labour Bastard put us in

All The Best Delayed by a year by intransigent remoaning twats (one of whom is now Labour leader) who wouldn't honour our vote despite pledging that they would. It took another election to break the deadlock.

The “will of the people” created the current mess the UK is in — despite the massaged and misrepresented UK opportunities and current trade figures.
Inflation down — that means prices are rising slower — but rents and mortgages are still high and causing real grief. The UK is impoverished to a degree that the EU wouldn’t have it back, let alone a with the beneficial opt-outs negotiated over the years.
The UK has to carve out a new niche for itself in a world of fewer but largertrading blocs — and services alone isn’t going to hack it…

It's going to be an interesting situation with Trump reinstalled in the White House and Beer Korma in No. 10.

You make it sound as though the UK was never in a mess when it was a member of the EU and it was all really a nirvana. Nice effort. Doesn't wash though. As for large trading block, there are some unhappy family members complaining about the EU's activity in this regard: www.politico.eu/article/the-eu-needs-get-its-trade-mojo-back-say-sweden-and-finland/Rats in a sack. Meanwhile, and not before long the UK finally suspends tariffs on certain foods helping UK manufacturers and businesses: www.gov.uk/guidance/duty-suspensions-and-tariff-quotasYou won't get that opportunity if protectionist France had its way, just ask the Finns and Swedes.

They have and I include the Tories under the remaniac banner .A remainer party led by remainers bar the 3 years under Johnson when Brexit was stalled by not only his own party but those in opposition with much of his time tied up in the N Ireland issue that PM May should have sorted out from the get go . The Leftwaffe in which we can include the civil service did their part in supporting the go slow exit . Johnson won an 80 seat majority with the promise of 'No deal is better than a bad deal' , he chose the bad deal ,in the end he was a remainer after all .

Correct, the government advocated remaining in the referendum, so not a surprise. Boris was a remainer? Also correct, he only campaigned for leave due to his PMly ambitions. But people thought they knew better. So who's fault was that?

The UK's problem lies with its Blue-Rinses and Col Blimps and the dog-whistle politics of the reactionary and elderly Right that chases their votes. Until it reverts to intelligent government peopled by world-aware sensible politicians, it's going to remain a small northern European offshore island with dwindling financial, services and tourist industries.
If the UK's youth wants free tuition, affordable living costs, the ability to work while studying, and many job opportunities after graduation, then Germany is the better option.
Sweden, and Scandinavia in general, has among the highest average salaries in the world. Sweden has similarly high salaries to Norway, its closest neighbor, but a significantly higher average than other nearby countries such as Poland, Estonia, and even Germany.
Cost of living in the United Kingdom is 15% more expensive than in Finland
The research data reveals that France is relatively less expensive than the UK to live in, and that the country enjoys its greatest advantage when it comes to 'rental costs'. This shouldn't come as a surprise, as there is actually much more space to inhabit in France as opposed to the UK.
The UK has possibly up to 10 years to turn itself around from returning to being a basket case...
