All The Best If you watched the snippets of her chat with Farage then you probably missed some better bits. Frankly I thought many of the points she made were spot on Many of the digs the arse that the BBC dug up to badmouth her book actually paint her as the only one able to see the party is a bunch of lemmings trying to ape the left and in fact he does little except show how accurate she is. As to her book, I will let you know what I think later. I have just succeeded in borrowing an electronic copy from our local library. I'm surprised the Marxist bastards allow it to be stocked.

The way I see it the BBC edit their material to favour Labour whilst Labour maintain the TV tax to favour the BBC. It's what they did with Raynor. It's a convenient arrangement, which the people are forced to pay for. Boris once spoke about challenging it, but it was too big even for a PM. The BBC is the last place I would go for anything today.

Truss is looking for political credibility having lost it in the UK. Supporting Trump is a baby step up from the bottom of the barrel, gets her a column in the British press so we know she is still breathing, and secures her a lifelong place in idiots' corner. And maybe a small job in a dark corner of a dusty office. There is of course the possibility that since Trump can pardon himself, the Jan 6 activists and various others having experienced jail via the judicial system of the US, it would only take a Trumpian scribble to grant Truss an American citizenship.

Naturally authoritarian socialists will scoff, but the reason Reform UK are increasingly popular is because she is right.

Naturally authoritarian socialists will scoff, but the reason Reform UK are increasingly popular is because she is right. redfieldandwiltonstrategies.com/latest-gb-voting-intention-7-april-2024/Shows Reform UK have surpassed the Liberal Democrat vote share, and are approaching the Conservative (who are in free fall, lets be realistic) vote share, but I strongly doubt they can make a serious run on the Labour vote share. The problem they have is the UK Electorate is fed up with incompetent Conservatism, and the fear is that a vote for Reform UK is a vote for even more incompetent Conservatism, because Reform UK draws its "talent pool" from those Conservative so incompetent they posed a threat to the electoral chances of the actual Conservative Party. However, Reform UK's rise in vote share does not necessarily, nor logically mean Truss is right. It could equally mean Reform UK voters are so politically illiterate, or uniformed, or mistaken to not recognise that Truss is wrong. NOTE: I am not saying one or the other is true - just that both could explain the rise in Reform UK's vote share. If I had to put money on it I genuinely would not put money on Truss being right though; she is right less often than a stopped clock. IIRC Truss was a contributor to "Ten Years On: Britain Without The EU", a book that to some limited extent influenced my decision to vote for Brexit. How did that work out? 14 Years of "Britain without the EU" and none of the predictions made in that book are anywhere close to being realised. All The Best

Well the only attempt she made to "save Britain" was to heap unwanted interest rates upon a population which had nothing to do with her election. So much for small government and individual choice.

Truss is a deluded fruitcake who has worked her way through being a Margaret Thatcher tribute act and is now desperate to hitch herself to another political personality.
I just wonder how such a spectacular failure manages to keep popping into view with another wheeze...

Well the only attempt she made to "save Britain" was to heap unwanted interest rates upon a population which had nothing to do with her election. So much for small government and individual choice. I think, and for obvious reasons, you are intentionally failing to see the bigger picture. Liz Truss could hardly do anything in five minutes. She was replaced because the men in grey suits wanted Sunak. And it must be said Oracle, it's a bit rich for someone who is such an enthusiastic supporter of an unelected EU president and executive, to talk about a population who had nothing to do with Truss's election.
