Truss was a LibDem. Trump was a Democrat. Nonsense, it's been a very long time since Truss was a LibDem student. She, like most lefties grew out of it. Would a LibDem tell Conservatives they have ten years to save the west? Yep, anyone over the age of 30 who is still a lefty is usually a groomer. |

If we EVER had Truss, or someone like her as Prime Minister again, it would only make our society divisive, and make politics caustic. The problem, as she states in her book, is left leaning idiots and an obstructive civil service have destoyed everything this cpuntry used to have going for it But the reason why a right wing populist would be divisive, is not simply that people of all shades of Left would find her to be unacceptable, but also a lot of Tories would too. |

Absolute bloody rubbish. Truss is not a right wing populist, she is a centre right Conservative. The problem is, thanks largely to Sunak there are very few centre right Conservatives in the so called conservative party. But rest assured, after five years of pro EU left wing Starmer, the country will be begging for a proper centre right Conservative government. |

I'm sure it's a bit of a buzz at the time, especially when driven by hormones. Once they become established adults many look back to those days like one would do to an embarrassing moment when drunk. Those who don't are usually angry and bitter. Driven by envy and hate, and their only motive is to pass that onto the kids. It's their way of trying to give meaning to their own existence. Encouraging the young to be strong independent individuals makes them mad.

I agree, you're right. I am the classic case of a lefty who saw the light, eventually. In spite of my surroundings, one OC even referred to me as a closet commie lol, yes I could quite accurately in my formative years, be described as a lefty. Tbh I think it's easy to be a lefty when you're politically clueless. It's an easy trap to fall into. But as with most things in life, experience changes perspectives. I'm a British patriot and proud of it, these days that makes me a racist. And I feed off that, it makes me an even bigger patriot. |

I am a British patriot, proud to be British, I have sworn allegiance to The Crown, but I hate and detest racism and bigotry.
I find it utterly arrogant of the Right to try and hijack patriotism as belonging only to them, but the "lefty" leader of the Labour Party is fighting back and winning - with his insistence of using the Union Flag on leaflets and posters.
AS regards "Free Speech" which is a precious thing, free speech should not be used as an excuse to in order to spread hatred, or to use the "N" word against black people or incite violence towards people of a different faith, race, colour, nationality or sexuality.

I have also taken the oath of allegiance and, just to give me an extra point, have gone through positive vetting, you wont understand but when I went through these things racism and bigotry for some reason weren't mentioned. Why do you mention them now? The 'right' have not hijacked patriotism. I do not fly the union jack because I'm right wing. I fly the union jack because I'm British and proud of it. I put up a flagpole in my garden in 2016 and the union jack has been proudly flying over Rackham Towers ever since. I suspect in your opinion, that makes me a racist. It is remarkable that for three years Starmer faught against Brexit and demanded another referendum, and as the election closes he insists he is not anti Brexit and as if to prove it, no longer waves the EU flag but promotes this country. I imagine this must almost make him choke. But not to worry, he'll be PM soon. I'm glad you mentioned free speech, have you been watching events in Brussels this afternoon? A pro EU left wing socialist mayor instructed the police to close down a Conservative conference in which among other people Farage and Braverman were speakers, I assume he was endorsing free speech, left wing style. The Belgian prime minister later and publicly criticised the mayor. The reason the right are gaining ground not only in this country but across Europe, is because woke lefties are dangerous. They do not tolerate free speech. |
