I worked for countless years in the NHS as a charge nurse, on the front line. And i still live. There was an article in a local paper about the local hospital needing far more money, the A|E department etc. Notice how the front line is mentioned. I posted a note in the comments section that in all my time, with the NHS budget, and extra funds pumped in, the front line was NEVER strengthened.
An NHS pen pusher responded that control was needed on the front line that the money was always needed elsewhere. As mentioned the advert for more money was for the front line. More funds NEVER gets to the front line despite the work load expanding constantly, and inputting being more important than Mr Jones. The waiting time in my local hospital is still a scandal.
The NHS is a massive scam, money is spent on nonsense while people die or suffer needlessly. The tories have failed again miserably, and im a tory. Reform is way overdue. God knows what those people in government do all day, not confronting major problems everywhere.

Because they employ a lot of diverse staff with different cultural and religious backgrounds. I'm afraid you have lost me. I am at a loss to understand why any organisation feel the need to employ 'diversity and inclusion officers'. It's nothing more than politically correct woke drivel. They do it so vociferous woke types won't point an accusing finger in their direction and ask the question that instantly kills debate: Are you racist? Even if the NHS could justify such a woke appointment as a diversity and inclusion officer, do they really need 800 of them, at a cost of £40 million a year? What a shocking waste of money. I recently mentioned that the NHS sent me a letter reminding me to get a fourth covid jab. The letter was two sheets of A4, in 29 different languages, and they sent me the letter twice. ZG, the NHS don't need a bigger budget, they need to stop wasting the budget they have. |

You have already decided the NHS don't need them full stop. I have had all the covid jabs and the travel certificates etc. I have never seen an A4 letter let alone in 29 languages. I have an app on my phone. Perhaps its you who could save their time by joining the 21st century |

Just about possible they may have covertly done so, but admit it in writing - bullshit.
Do we think it's likely that his full letter was translated into 29 languages - no. Is it likely that it is available in 29 languages - yes. If the NHS wants to communicate what Government considers an important message to all its customers - probably sensible that it tries to do so in a language that like it or not those customers understand.
