I bet he won't be alone for very long...
Reform UK has its first MP: Ex-Tory chair Lee Anderson declares he 'wants my country back' as he joins Nigel Farage party in major blow for embattled Rishi Sunak... with insurgents warning of MORE defections before election

Given the electorate of that constituency elected a Tory MP, on Tory Manifesto Pledges the ONLY honourable thing to do is for there to be a By-Election. Of course, won't happen. Lee Anderson has no political principles except keeping his snout in the trough. Started as a NUM Member under Scargill, was elected as a local councillor on a Labour ticket and worked for Gloria De Piero, betrayed his alleged principles and moved to the Tories, was a complete laughing stock; betrayed his alleged principles yet again to join Reform. If it looks like he'll be ousted on a Reform ticket he's just as likely to stand for George Galloway's lot in some swing constituency. And he really is thick as champ. All The Best

I wonder what ever became of Darling? If you are suggesting PV is him, that's highly unlikely IMO. Welcome to the forum proveritas, I look forward to crossing swords with you.

Reform UK wont make any breakthrough into mainstream politics, and are most likely to be back with Zero seats after the general election.
A couple of polls recently have shown Reform UK on 14 points, their highest ever polling figures, but if this was repeated at the general election in every constituency, they still would not gain a single seat.
The "Tipping Point" is 17 points, and if Reform UK achieved that figure, they would likely gain Torbay, from the Conservatives.

My tone is aggressive? Sorry you think so; I am pretty much a "say what you mean, mean what you say" kind of guy, and tend not to beat around the bush trying to dress things up for the sake of decorum. All The Best

I'm not sure if it is any of the rats leaving the sinking ship that Reform really needs.

Richard Trice was on the lefty Vine show the other day, and lefty Vine asked him what he thought of Anderson jumping ship from Labour to Tory to Reform, Trice summed it up well, he said of course you will jump ship if the party you are serving is not living up to your expectations and that of the people, both Labour and the Tories are not serving the people and are failing them, so it's quite right that MPs like Lee Anderson are so disillusioned that they stand up for their principels and leave that party....... Well said Trice, and well done Anderson.
