This Civil Servant should be named.. And has been,Staunton has been called a liar and asked to produce evidence which he did saying he had emailed himself on the day he was told to hobble the payment of compensation up to the election. Now whilst this isn’t 100% proof positive it does appear more than credible because on the day he did that he had no idea he would be sacked.

The post office oppose so many convictions being overturned. Only a congenital idiot would think this ok link I think the letter is pretty standard legal boilerplate. The CEO gets legal advice from the company lawyers and his legal position means he has to uphold that advice. The government can change the Law irrespective and ignore any protestations from the PO.

That may well be but it doesn't have a good look,it’s indicative of the business as usual attitude from all concerned. Was reading today that the engineer who was crushed and killed by the pop up hydraulic bog in London has frustrated his family, one year on being ignored no one telling the anything. When is someone ever going to hold their hands up in this country accept some culpability and resign. Whether it be politicians or senior personnel they carry on regardless to better things at our expense.

Fujitsu are laughing all the way to the bank with the Post Office as a client. They've obviously decided it's too much work and effort to integrate another provider & will be a customer of Fujitsu for life unless they can be bothered to get a decent development team in. Post Office 'pens £180m deal to keep Fujitsu's Horizon system in place for another FIVE YEARS' despite faulty software scandal which led to more than 900 wrongful prosecutions and several suspected suicides..... The Post Office has reportedly penned a £180million deal to keep the scandal-hit Horizon system in place for another five years. Japanese firm Fujitsu's faulty software was behind more than 900 subpostmasters being wrongly prosecuted after shortfalls were incorrectly reported on their accounts. The Post Office had been looking for a replacement system for next year, but it is now expected that Fujitsu will continue operating in branches for five more years. The deal was reported by Computer Weekly and comes after the Japanese firm said it would not apply for any more government contracts. Richard Trinder, who manages the campaign group Voice of the Postmaster - which supports victims of the Horizon scandal - said: 'We want the new system to be the right one when it does come in, so we understand that there needs to be a new system. 'However, it would have been nice to Fujitsu to do this work for free and donate the £180million to victims of the scandal.' www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13482551/Post-Office-pens-180m-deal-Fujitsus-Horizon-place-FIVE-YEARS-despite-faulty-software-leading-900-wrongful-prosecutions.html

I was there, along with all my colleagues, because a particular product was long overdue and insanely over budget The oroblem, as admitted by the man who managed the entire onsite operation and reported directly to Arnie Weinstock was that the contract to develop this crock had two singular late delivery clauses If Marconi’s product was not delivered on time 1) the end client could have it free of charge, and 2) Marconi would foot the bill for development, installation and maintenance of a similar product developed by a rival until this one was delivered. Arnie was keen not to have to shell out. Our work ours were insane, as was our take home. But we all knew Arnie would be better off torching the building with us all in it. We posted our own fire marshals. I just wish my company could get its clients yo sign contracts that insane with me. My only question to the said on site divisional manager when he revealed those clauses was ‘And is the individual who accepted such an onerous penalty clause still drawing a salary’ My question went unanswered. We did in fact complete and deliver the item, but i think the company sank into oblivion a short time later.

And it’s now Mr Bates or should I say Sir Alan Bates vs the Steamer and him ignoring two letters from a man who displays all the qualities so many of our political masters lack.
Another victim of this scandal has died before receiving a penny as they are still denied the justice they deserve,I hope that the investigations in to those responsible are hastened and they are subject to the law that was applied to so many now proven innocent were.
