I wouldn’t argue with that Jonksy,will never happen though because they cant admit any wrongdoing which reflects on all past and present administrations. IMO Blair was and is a stain on both Britains politics and history,even today he’s weaseling and manoeuvring through his foundation and influence on Starmer who openly takes his advice and projects himself as the new Blair. The sheeple might well be so fed up with the Tories that they will vote for anyone who might get them out, which in many places will be Labour, but I will not vote for a bucket of vomit to get a bucket of shit out. Neither Tories nor Labour are ever likely to get my vote. Which sadly means under our current voting system they don't have to give a shit about what I or any of us who dont support the main parties actually think. In our supposed democracy which is in effect very limited, most of us effectively have no say if we do not support either Labour or Tories. It was a posted lie anyway, even so while you now turn it into a reason (excuse) for not voting Labour, you and I know that is not the real reason why you won't be voting Labour. The comparison was between Truss and Thatcher, based on Pac's metric. The Falklands war was justified. British sovereign territory was invaded against the democratic wishes of the islanders. Thatcher didn't invade anyone. Blair did, multiple times, in violation of the UN Charter and Article 1 of the North Atlantic Treaty of 1949. I wasn't comparing Thatcher to Blair. I was pointing out the folly of comparing Truss to Blair based on how many soldiers they got killed. Thatcher got more men killed than Truss but that doesn't make Truss the better leader anymore than it made Truss better than Blair. Blair had many achievements under his belt by the time he stood down, Truss didn't even outlast a lettuce but still managed to crash the economy. |

Here's the thing though. He can't be stripped of it, not by Parliament or by anybody else except for the reigning sovereign.
It's not a common-or-garden knighthood, it's a KC. Usually prime ministers get them soon after leaving office although Tone had to wait fifteen years. There's probably a story behind that, no doubt something to do Philip who hated him.
Dave looks like he's for quite a wait too. Probably because of the bollocks he made of the Remain campaign.
