You claim to have these cunning ideas about reducing immigration and population but when its suggested you start a thread to spell out and discuss these ideas you run a mile.. I would very much like to see such a debate in mind Zone. I would even stay out of it if that was the price for it existing.

You would not be able to even consider my ideas with a neutral mind, you would think me mad or worse "Socialist" You would not believe my words could mean what they say. You would read I said A but know I must mean B. You would correct me, Zany says this but he really means that. Mr strawman would back you up. And at every turn B4 and Bentley would cheer you on convincing you of your correctness. No this is not the place for such conversation. The problem is a lot of the ideas you would like kept separate for a conversation are actually deeply linked.
It wouldn't really be a full discussion if, when you are suggesting the drastic and quality of life destroying measure of paving over the greenbelt, somebody didn't ask if you intended to take some action to prevent a small city's worth of new people arriving every year - a course of action that would help, but wouldn't result in the urbanisation of everything in the south east corner of the country

I like to try and answer peoples points, I spend time doing so, then you ignore it and make stupid vacuous statements like paving over the green belt. When the figure needed was 2%. What you want is a strawman who says stupid stuff you can jeer at and then repeat your mantras. Zany has put forward earlier elsewhere his ideas about curbing immigration by through 'help and money and reward and education and even resettlement'.
They weren't persuasive then and I doubt they'd be any more persuasive now, so his reluctance to air them once again is completely understandable.
