So the manufactured crisis has passed. Let’s reflect on the damage done.
Even the police have confirmed that the rhetoric from the Government last week resulted in drunken and drugged up “right wing” thugs roaming London’s streets looking for a fight and disrupting the Nov11th commemoration. A number of innocent policemen have paid the price. So much for a party that branded itself the party of law and order.
For many years the Tory Party has sought to cast off its reputation as “the nasty party” yet now it slags off homeless people as “a lifestyle choice” and seeks to ban them at least having tents to cope with a British winter.
Any Prime Minister needs to have authority in order to remain credible yet the weakness of Wishy Washy Rishi has been exposed by his failure to sack his out of control Home Secretary. He may well do so this week but far far too late.
We all know a Civil War is coming but it seems inevitable that given the weakness of the PM, the pre skirmishes will only intensify into open warfare.
It feels like it is unravelling at present and will only get worse. Would they not be better to get the pain over quickly and hold the election early in 2024?

Do you mean a political in party civil war or an actual civil war in this country. If so, there are similar signs of civil war in France and Spain. What is the common factor?

Civil war in the Tory party not a real world Civil War in the country (despite the best efforts of the GB News presenter someone linked to in the week).

For balance, you seem to have overlooked the 100 plus pro-Hamas "Protesters" detained for making anti-Semitic chants and launching fireworks at the police. I wonder why?

Heard on radio earlier that police are now starting to look through videos of the anti Israel protesters who were holding placards/flags/chanting obscenities/setting off flares and fireworks etc that were comparing Jews to Nazis/with hate messages etc and seeking to identify and find them. Why weren't they arrested immediately during the march-then the cops wouldn't be tying up more resources now allegedly trying to find them because they'd already have them locked up ? Couldn't be because the police do have 'favourites' like the HS said, could it? Their community advisors (who seem to think their flocks are all nice , wonderful people without a violent thought in their bones) will soon put a stop to it , inventing yet more new meanings for words to excuse them .

Braverman was of course correct. The police were, quite rightly, all over the EDL.
But when it comes to the favoured ones calling for the extermination of Israel the approach is very different.

In a crowd of 300,000+ you are going to get a few nutters and extremists, the police are looking for a woman who carried a flag stating "Politicians should not be friends of Israel", I mean seriously? !00 in 300000 is 0.0333% 126 in 200 is over 60% Braverman should be sacked.

Is it illegal to compare Israel to the Nazis?

So the police are right when they pursue people you don't like and wrong when they pursue people that you do.
