When was the last election in Gaza? 2006 - were you expecting Hamas to introduce a Westminster Parliamentary democracy? Where did I say that? If you elect a right wing cynical party who then promote one party over another in Gaza and facilitate their success by policy and currency smuggling because you think divide and rule and they are easier to manipulate will succeed and it then all goes tits up is just as valid.

I will quote once again the late Gerald Kaufman ( Jewish Labour MP ) - He said this "Hamas are a particularly nasty organisation, but they are the only game in town". So there are no complaints then - a party that is dedicated to wiping out Israel and who are doing their best to achieve that, are quite naturally going to have some pushback. But if that is what the people want... My Chihuahua is dedicated to shagging next door's Great Dane. It's never going to happen though.

Tonight the brave Israeli Defence Force hit a refugee camp in Gaza, and sources on the ground say at least 50 civilians were killed, and at least 150 people injurded, plus many missing. The Israelis stated that they killed a Hamas commander ( ONE PERSON ) As that much respected Jewish Labour MP Gerald Kaufman would have said "that was the response of a Nazi". We killed hundreds of innocents, HOWEVER we did manage to kill one Hamas commander The actions of Israel are quite simply not defendable Sources on the ground. Who is that then Sid? The lying terrorist scum, Hamas? By the way, 326 IDF soldiers are dead since 7th October. You see, Israel can count, they don't pluck propaganda figures from the air.

For generations, the Israeli's refused to talk to the PLO, in the end they did I am afraid that its something that people have to do, it was done in South Africa, Northern Ireland, Kenya, and it was done between Israel and Egypt, and Israel and Jordan. What Israel and the West have to accept is that Hamas is the choice of the people of Gaza ( like it or not ), THEY WERE ELECTED. As much as it might be a very bitter pill to swallow, just as it was with Sin Fein and the IRA, and the ANC, its either talk or more of the same ... for the forseeable future. How's the ISIS talks going, Sid?

Country you are intent on destroying fights back - well who would have thought.. People you are intent on dispossessing, brutalising and imprisoning in the worlds largest open prison living with little hope and worshipping the same god as your opponent sure in the belief only your version is right as does your enemy engage in a monumentally foolish and evil attack. Who'd have thought that? If it all wasn’t so utterly tragic it’d be funny.

Perhaps they wouldn't be living in the worlds largest prison if they chose the path of peace instead of supporting a medieval sect intent on destroying Israel. But that is the choice they made.

It’s not an existential crisis for Israel because Hamas has failed to make this a war involving other Muslim nations …yet.

Talking to the PLO was after the first war to annihilate Israel, For Israel the problem was suicide bombers and other actions of terrorism from the Arabs, nothing to do with anything like 7/10 massacre of Israeli citizens. Hamas were elected, then turned their position into a dictatorship by banning any further elections. None of the organisations you mention EVER FORMED THEMSELVES FOR THE SINGLE PURPOSE OF DESTROYING ANOTHER COUNTRY, Hamas have done just that. They want to destroy Israel, and for no other reason than the fact that the Israelis are Jews, not Muslims. That's their unacceptable bottom line.

As much as I am horrified by what Israel is doing and I want it to stop, it is a war against Hamas, not ethnic cleansing. I am sickened by the fact that the Muslim world have failed to offer help Israel to eliminate Hamas by a ground assault only. It seems they hate Israel more than they wish to help the Arabs in Gaza.

All Gaza is expendable as regards the greater 'good' of destroying Israel. Even Nasser admitted all those years ago that the 'right of return was to keep the open wound festering, any acceptance of Palestinian refugees into other countries would gradually wear away the right of return and lose the pressure to destroy Israel. Now the Arab world is in a cleft stick whereby their intransigence as regards this aspect is being openly exposed to the rest of the world.

Choose peace - they wouldn't be living in a prison.
