Poor old Macron, since he's lost his partner in crime Merkel , he's been Boooooood by crowds, the French banks are telling people to bank in the UK, businesses are abandoning France, his border force police are too busy in brothels to stop illegal boat people, it couldn't happen to a nicer guy . lolol Merkel never made her fortune from the income of a German Chancellor. Merkel’s net worth has been estimated at around $11.5 million. Her salary as chancellor was around $240,000 a year, about average for European leaders, but well below the $400,000 paid to the U.S. president.
You do realise that if she was only paid $240,000 a year, and she's worth $11 million, she'd need to have work for 44 years to accumulate $11 million

"We do not pay the EU a bean" and "We do not pay the EU a bean of the £56B" are not the same claim. 🙄 FFS are you taking over from steve as head of moronic pedantry? And we are paying France not the EUSSR commision FFS. And I will ask you yet again, how do you feel about the EUSSR atempting to stifle free speech of their member states? You were the one who brought freespeech into the thread so it is not an atempt at evasion on my part. You've obviously forgotten about the divorce settlement. Pointing that out is not pedantry. I stand by my first post.

This is the third time now I have asked you the question of the EUSSR stifling freespeach. You tend to ignore any facts and just carry on with your false claims..

The divorce settlement is tiny in comparison to what membership cost us.
And when we were members we couldn't negotiate our own FTAs.

If you dont like the EU's FTA's, which the UK would have had to approve, drop them. No one is forcing you to keep them. Though it is true that the couple of teensy ones you did do, dont benefit the UK. But do cut that umbilical cord and be really sovereign. Go on. I dare you.

Brexit win as furious Canadians claim new trade deal is 'too positive' for UK......Not going so well for you remnants is it?
The Canadian beef and meat industry has launched a new campaign to lobby Justin Trudeau to block Britain from joining the CPTPP trade deal, as they claim it's too generous to the UK.
The Canadian Cattle Association, Meat Council and National Cattle Feeders' Association have launched a campaign called "Say No To a Bad Deal", with the aim of pressuring the Canadian Government to reject Britain's impending membership.
The groups' key gripe is that the land mark deal, negotiated by trade secretary Kemi Badenoch, gives British meat exporters too much of an advantage to sell their produce to Canada.
The campaign says: "The proposed agreement will see the UK exporting over $50 million of their meat products into the Canadian market, while Canada will be unable to export any meat products into their market".
While the UK's meat industry could boom from membership of the CPTPP, Canada's meat processing safety is not of a high enough standard for Britain to allow imports.

Why would the UK want to ban a superior product? To protect its own market. Have you not seen the UK farmers reactions? Was this an issue when we were in the EU? - where was the concern for the UK farmers then when they were subject to unlimited competition from farmers in other EU member states?
