With educated and informed personnel, the escape route from typical Tory insinuation and denigration as shown in your post. LOL excellent. Load of bollox but at least it made me laugh. Simple things please simple minds

There is a cheap way and a difficult way to achieve growth. The difficult way is scientific progress which feeds into technology and engineering. The cheap way is to do a Liz Truss and borrow to pay for government spending. But Liz truss wasn't trying to achieve growth. She just wanted to move what little money there is left into the pockets of those that already have most of it. Lower corporation taxes dont encourage growth? - tell that to the Irish...

Lower corporation taxes dont encourage growth? - tell that to the Irish... 99% of new business don't pay corporate tax. Only those who've already made it do that. And they'll trade whenever they can make money. Don't ask the Irish, ask Amazon.

By persuading global business to home their HQ's in Ireland at a lower tax rate. Robbing all their friends around them. Same thing Luxembourg did.

Only in countries with very small populations. What has the population size got to do with anything?. Are you claiming that Amazon only base their operations in small countries rather than those with the lowest tax rates?

If allowed corporations base their HQ in a small country with low tax and declare their corporation tax there. They trade in all the surrounding rich countries and pay the lower tax in the tiny country. The reason the tiny country can afford to do this is that they do not require tax from their own home grown corporations to fund a large population.

But their home grown corporations are proportionate to the size of the population. Irelands largest company makes Cement ffs..

Scores of companies are not resident in the US State of Delaware because of the weather and culture.. they are chasing the tax breaks. Which is precisely why Ireland and Luxembourg are successful..

Define a large population - Switzerland is a fair size, Hing Kong is a fair size, Singapore is a fair size - even the UK used to have fairly low corporate tax rates to attract business.

One big enough to not be able to survive on the lowered taxes from corporations. In real numbers about 10 million. Of course what the countries affected by these countries stealing their taxes should do is ostracise them. Luxembourg was forced to reform its corporate tax laws.
