Can't say Sturgeon's annoyed me by what she's said and done as much as Andy Murray has — and he's only niggled slightly with a bit of two-faced hypocrisy... What is 2 faced about Andy Murray's comments regarding his country (if that is what you are referring to)

Just a little more info, this Police Operation into the finical affairs of the SNP has been running since 2019, much of which is focused on Sturgeons husband and a £600 grand loan which has not been fully paid back to date It was not a loan. It was crowdfunded money supposedly ring fenced for an Independence campaign

The SNP have sent a bunch of flowers to Nicola Sturgeon to offer support for all she is going through at the moment. What a nice thought, I wonder if they will be sending a bunch of flowers to all their supporters who sent in money only to have it stolen by a person or persons unknown. I thought not. These people give pikeys a bad name, they really do. Did they buy the flowers from the same garage they bought the motor home?

You're being very generous. The police have been searching for this cash for how many months? And they are suitably confident to arrest the three leading protagonists. As Marcellus famously said: Something is rotten in the state of Scotland. If it's a crime, one of the three arrested must surely be the responsible party, no? If they were confident that a crime has taken place, I think the police would have charged one of them by now, don't you? It must be possible to trace the £££. They had auditors. Ripley, if a crime had not taken place the three protagonists would not have been arrested, a motorhome would not have been confiscated, homes would not have been searched, indeed if a crime had not taken place the three protagonists would still be in office. Sturgeon resigned because she knew damned well what was comming down the line like a freight train that even she couldn't stop.

It must be said Morayloon, given recent events your avatar is, how should I word it... unfortunate. The latest Opinion Poll has Independence on 52%. This article points out that the firm involved has had five recent polls published on the subject of Independence, ALL SHOWING SUPPORT AT OVER 50% scotgoespop.blogspot.com/2023/06/yet-another-bombshell-find-out-now-poll.htmlThe fall in SNP support is not hampering Independence support.

So if next week Scotland voted leave, you would be happy with an independent Scotland being run by the current lot? Yousaf, a racist who appears to worship Sturgeon, who with her husband appears to have overseen a corrupt regime and run the SNP like her own little fiefdom.

I firmly believe that many who are, at the moment, saying they won't will come to realise that not to vote Nat will see in a Unionist Tory (blue or red). The problem for the SNP is that a lot of would be supporters are scunnered with the lack of action on the Independence front. A situation that looks set to continue under Yousaf, as Kelly points out in the linked to article.

No it ain't.
Political parties are in a permanent state of scandal, but the public aren't going to throw a fit of the vapours every time a politician is found with his hand in the biscuit barrel. Boris is a fat, lying crook, but I, along with a lot of others, will still vote for him because I like his policies on taxes and Brexit. The same with the Scots. These scandals have been going on since Mel Gibson got Isabella of France up the spout with Edward III, but the polls show that support for the SNP has not changed in the last two months and there are now more Scots who want independence than the Union

It was crowdfunded money supposedly ring fenced for an Independence campaign Yes the the money was donated to fund another referendum about Scotland's Independence from the rest of the UK, however that money or some of it was not in the SNP's account and according to the media someone had been lent that some of that money or all of it I don't know has not been paid back in full to date This Investigation by Police Scotland has been underway for some time, what their investigation has meant that three people have been arrested so far in connection with their investigation, the SNP Treasurer Colin Beattie, Sturgeon's husband and Sturgeon herself, nobody yet has been charged with anything so far the Investigation is still on going

The Police can only arrest anyone if they have sufficient grounds to do they have to justify making the arrest so far nobody has been charged , Sturgeon herself has been released under Investigation , which means she is not on bail and instructed to return at a time and date in the future, it means should the Police have grounds to arrest her again and interview her again they will

What is 2 faced about Andy Murray's comments regarding his country (if that is what you are referring to) His feigned surprise at his English fans turning against him when he supported whoever played England in the 2006 World Cup — he now claims that was a joke. But it’s typical of the one-way traffic of goodwill across the border, which is illustrated by the ungrudging support of English football fans for Scotland in football World Cup campaigns. Admittedly, he’s more careful with his carefully choreographed utterances now… PS — I’m a bit two-faced myself in cricket. I’m generally an England supporter — except if playing the West Indies, when I’m hoping for a return to greatness. Unfortunately, the lure of big money in US sports attracts the more able WI athletes these days.

I’m getting the impression that voters aren’t after any more movers and shakers, and would be content to have steady hands holding the parties together. Too many radical proposals would just extend the current economic upheavals and not focus on getting the cost of living down…
