Very well Pat, I'll delete my thread even though I was first. Several threads covering the same thing is annoying. It must be said that although she has been arrested, she hasn't been charged with anything, yet, lol. |

A bit premature as the actress said to the bishop, I haven't seen anyone charged with anything yet, breaks up the monotony, I guess. I know I am not meant to say actress but the actor just sounds a bit odd. You know just a slight bit queer.

Arrested on the Sabbath is a bit odd. Welcome news though. Looney, Tommo or JD might be able to explain why Polis Alba lifted her on a Sunday, is it the overtime payments perhaps?

The police seem to think there are reasonable grounds to arrest her over a missing £600,000. Since that money is hardly likely to appear I suspect charges will be forthcoming and the darling of the SNP will be off to Barlinnie, lol. |

The Police do no get overtime for Sundays, do they? Anyway, when my wife told me the news, I did a little jig round the living room as I absolutely detest the woman and all she stands for. |

Can't say Sturgeon's annoyed me by what she's said and done as much as Andy Murray has — and he's only niggled slightly with a bit of two-faced hypocrisy...

I heard the announcement on Times Radio, scanned the forum to see if it had been covered, checked the Scottish media and added the link.
What happened to honesty in politics — did it just drop out of fashion so that we just expect the worst...
PS: I just looked at wiki's list of what made UK political scandals — in the 1940's there were two, '50s three, '60s three, '70s six, '80s eight. '90s eleven. Then either honesty prevailed or our tolerance grew...

Well yes, but that's just the police being polite. She was invited to attend the police station where she was formally arrested. Had she refused to attend the police station she would have been arrested at her home and taken to the police station, kicking and screaming if necessary. |
