The Anglo-Saxons had Saints from England, the Norman Kings went for a foreign one. Bring back St Edmund. A proper Anglian Saint not a bloody foreigner like St George.  |

The trouble is, that most saints are dreary bastards.
How about St Augustine (354 - 430 AD), who loved God and parties and girls and who is the patron saint of brewers?
