I suppose the usuals will blame Brexit for the ferry's delay.
French warship orders cross-Channel ferry to change course so it can escort small boats containing 90 migrants and hand them over to Britain Warship's officer told ferry to make a detour so it could hand over 90 migrants Controversial manoeuvre delaying ferry's journey happened in fog at 10.27am
A cross-channel ferry was forced to change route by a French warship on Easter Sunday so it could escort two migrant boats to the UK, the Daily Mail can reveal.
The P&O ferry Spirit of Britain was told to make the detour so the naval vessel could hand over 90 migrants to the Border Force craft Typhoon waiting to bring them to Dover.
The controversial manoeuvre, delaying the ferry's journey, happened in thick fog at 10.27am.
In the message to the P&O ferry, the warship's female officer says in stilting English: 'I am currently ahead of you for three nautical miles. About to start operation with two small migrant craft and Border Force Typhoon. Is it possible for you to take a wide berth on your port side?'
The Spirit of Britain's officer responds by correcting her estimated distance between the vessels saying it is five nautical miles. He adds: 'Unfortunately, due to the shipping traffic we can't come to port in restricted visibility. So, we will alter course to starboard.'
The French should have escorted those illegal immigrants. ALL THE WAY BACK TO NORTHERN FRANCE and then with a Police escort, marched them all the way back to the Southern French border.. Why would the French do that and would we?

They won't, but they should.
Thousands die every year because the authorities are too soft on the people smuggling gangs. If that number of people died in a terrorist attack it would be war. But more die each year as a result of people smuggling into Europe, than died on 11th Sept 2001 in New York and Washington and Pennsylvania.

Total bollocks it was blairs labour that opened the flood gates. You may need to brush up on your knowledge base here. Typical fucking lefties. They get into power create these bloody messses and then have the frigging goul to blame the poor buggers who have inherited the crap and have to clear up the crap they have left in their wake. Everytime labour ever infests No 10 there is a mountain of shite that has to be cleared up afterwards.

This 'influx' as you put it is down to the Tories, they have been in power for 13 years and done nothing. The government’s latest figures show that in December 2022 the number of people waiting to have their asylum cases resolved was nearly nine times higher than it was in June 2010 (after the general election in May when Labour left government), while the number of people awaiting an initial decision is 17 times higher. There were 166,261 people with asylum applications waiting to be resolved in December, including 160,919 awaiting an initial decision. This compares to a total of 18,954 people in June 2010, including 9,441 people awaiting an initial decision. The Tories are responsible. Total bollocks it was blairs labour that opened the flood gates. You seem somewhat confused between extending freedom of movement to the accession states and the increase in global migration. They are not the same thing.

This is not just a UK problem or an EU problem but a world wide problem caused by corrupt and ruthless Governments not providing their people , by educating them , helping to provide work and health care , they have lots of well armed troops to deal with them if they protest and ask for help, execute them on many occasions.
For years I have seen newsreels from parts of Africa, South America, Middle East etc showing children starving to death for lack of food during times of famine, and endless tribal wars and civil wars, and always stood in the background are well fed soldiers holding AK47's, whilst their well fed leaders are wearing expensive suits driven about it in limousines and top of the range Rolex watches
They are the problem
