I suppose the usuals will blame Brexit for the ferry's delay.
French warship orders cross-Channel ferry to change course so it can escort small boats containing 90 migrants and hand them over to Britain Warship's officer told ferry to make a detour so it could hand over 90 migrants Controversial manoeuvre delaying ferry's journey happened in fog at 10.27am
A cross-channel ferry was forced to change route by a French warship on Easter Sunday so it could escort two migrant boats to the UK, the Daily Mail can reveal.
The P&O ferry Spirit of Britain was told to make the detour so the naval vessel could hand over 90 migrants to the Border Force craft Typhoon waiting to bring them to Dover.
The controversial manoeuvre, delaying the ferry's journey, happened in thick fog at 10.27am.
In the message to the P&O ferry, the warship's female officer says in stilting English: 'I am currently ahead of you for three nautical miles. About to start operation with two small migrant craft and Border Force Typhoon. Is it possible for you to take a wide berth on your port side?'
The Spirit of Britain's officer responds by correcting her estimated distance between the vessels saying it is five nautical miles. He adds: 'Unfortunately, due to the shipping traffic we can't come to port in restricted visibility. So, we will alter course to starboard.'

You say at the beginning of your post that the French warship ordered the ship to change course, but your post later clearly shows that the warship requested the ship to change course. Doesn't your typical Daily Mail reader notice these inconsistencies?

We pay those frog arseholes to keep this shit out of our country and all they do is push more of them on to us.

They are bothered about what has turned into a national emergency, which you don't seem bothered about. As though picking out the finer details will change a thing.

Usual desperate reply of I don't like the message so shoot the messenger, anyone who is concerned about what is happening to their country trying to deal with an added burden to their country that is virtually nonstop is dismissed out of hand by a few silly words.
The French are supposed to be Policing their coastline to prevent these alleged asylum seekers or economic migrants pretending to be asylum seekers and a mixed in with them wanted or known criminals and even terrorists getting to our shores, UK Taxpayers have paid the French many millions of pounds over a number of years to do just that.
Money that could and should have been spent on our creaking infrastructure to look after and protect the people already here that have entered legally and the indigenous, many of whom are homeless , living in appalling conditions, or on the streets, many families waiting for years to be allocated Social Housing, or paying high rents for crap private accommodation with little or no security of tenure, that is the problem people with any common sense should be focusing on.
This small landmass is full, is it any wonder that the present younger generation and the next one will struggle to be able to obtain housing that is affordable and secure , most will never be able to buy their own home as supply outstrips demand which means very high prices.
It matters not if the French Naval vessel gave the Ferry Captain and order to change course or asked them or not , the rules of the sea apply he made it known what course that a vulnerable overloaded dinghy's were on it matters not if the dinghy was in French waters International waters or UK waters, vessels have to go to its aid in order to preserve life.
Another 90 people the taxpayers have to house try and find out who is genuine and who is not,

They just love to see their own country being wrecked because they are still spitting feathers because we left their beloved EUSSR. Not one of them gives a flying fuck abour our own struggling population or the shit that some of our people have to live in so these arseholes can live in bloody hotels.

Certainly not helped by escalating crime waves.

Wife and I were in Italy shortly after we voted to leave the EU , speaking to Italians in the Hotel they were pleased they stated we had made the right choice and they wanted out as well, there is an awful lot of people across the EU that feel the same, they do not like the impact that Freedom of Movement has had on their culture and lifestyle and feel no longer in charge of their own country

If you read the article instead of the sensationalised headline you would understand what happened not what the Mail thinks happened. It was foggy, steerable ferry was asked to change course because an unsteerable dinghy was close by, French on hand to assist if anything happened.
