Inspires confidence if the French Navy cannot navigate... Left hand down a bit Love, steady steady , back a bit , not so fast , check your mirrors, I'm sure the shoe shop was near here Fair point - I had missed that it was a woman navigating the boat so a couple of miles discrepancy is quite good really..

Huh. They are progressing through France without permission, they are progressing through the EU without permission to do so. The French do not stop them because they know they are on the way to the UK and if they stop them and try to deport them they will claim asylum in France. The EU are visiting their lack of border controls upon the UK and facilitating an invasion force free passage through their territory which hardly gels with the EU mission to be a good neighbour. The Germans asked for free passage through Belgium in 1914 to invade France, the Belgians told them to take a hike and lost a lot of their men killed or wounded. That is being a good neighbour. What percentage of migrants arriving in France want to come to the UK? Does it matter?

You say at the beginning of your post that the French warship ordered the ship to change course, but your post later clearly shows that the warship requested the ship to change course. Doesn't your typical Daily Mail reader notice these inconsistencies? The Frogs should have taken them back to their country and not ours. We pay those frog arseholes to keep this shit out of our country and all they do is push more of them on to us. So all those patient explanations we've made before still don't get through your skull and you keep on with your mis-imagined alternate reality. And of course the pathetic denial that your Brexit stopped the repatriation of these boat people to France Own your own shit Jonksy

Yes, in that it is in relation to the post that I was quoting. Not particularly a dig at you but a question to all those who cite brexit or that we are a rogue nation for wishing to stop this illegal influx which not just for us is also a pan European problem which is only going to worsen can you set out in detail how you would solve this problem?

I don’t think this is anything to do with Brexit at all. The only side effect of Brexit here is the withdrawal from the Dublin Convention, but as we hardly used it, I think that's by the by. There is a mass world migration going on. It's not just a pan European problem, it's a world problem. There are countries being hit more than ours, France being one, which was the point I was trying to make. You can't do anything on your own. Any action has to be multilateral. You can't stop the boats to the UK if there are boats to mainland Europe. And even if we did they'd find another way, like when we cracked down on the lorries and the Chunnel. We have to have proper safe routes of some description, and we need to have an asylum system fit for purpose. That means quick processing so that those who are granted refugee status become paying members of society and those that aren't can be quickly deported. And finally I'd have asylum seekers able to work, so that they can fund themselves rather than relying on taxpayer handouts. I can't see a single reason why that can't be done.

As said not aimed directly at you others have cited brexit and the UK acting as a rogue nation.and yes it is becoming a world problem,I think the whole system is overwhelmed and the worldwide rules regarding asylum are not fit for purpose. Thankyou for your reply.

None of the fucking remnants have given an explanation as there isn't one and they just doggedly and bindly support their beloved EUSSR. The Frogs are taking the piss and you aint got the balls to admit to the fact.
EDIT:
Micron migrant deal ‘limit’ exposed as Frog warship sends illegal immigrants to British coast.
A major limitation of the UK-Frog migrant deal has been exposed, according to GB News’ Deputy Political Editor.
It comes after a Frog warship ordered a passenger ferry to move aside so it could take 90 migrants to the UK, according to a report.
The Spirit of Britain ferry was forced to move aside so the Frog vessel could hand over a group of migrants to a Royal Navy boat.

Yet another downside of this dross being thrust upon us....This was totaly eradicated in the UK before this BS started. Diptheria in Britain is ‘sharply’ on the rise due to small boat crossings as scientists warn dozens of new cases have nearly all been linked to ‘incoming migrants’ Most of the cases were ‘young Afghan males’ with ‘unknown vaccination history’ 73 cases of the disease were recorded in England in 2022 - up from 12 last year Diptheria cases have risen sharply as a result of small boat crossings, scientists have warned. Researchers said outbreaks across the continent over the past year have been ‘mostly linked to incoming migrants’ – nearly all from Afghanistan. Diphtheria, a highly contagious bacterial infection which can be fatal, is rare in the UK because babies and children have been routinely vaccinated against it since the 1940s. www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-11966799/Diptheria-Britain-sharply-rise-small-boat-crossings.html

You are contradicting yourself, they can claim asylum but they do not have to claim asylum until they get to the country they want to reach. Why would a foreign country do our work for us and detain them? Asylum seekers fleeing from oppressive states and in fear of their lives are 'allowed' to cross borders to reach countries that they wish to seek asylum in. Not all of the asylum seekers entering France are coming to the UK, some stop in France and seek asylum there.

What percentage of migrants arriving in France want to come to the UK? More than we want, more than we need and more than we can cope with. We can't cope with them, I agree, but that is because of our government not the asylum seekers. Blame those responsible not the victims.
