If Labour did get in we must think about what happens next, we see Thornbury, Raynor, Lammy and other left wingers in the shadows, once Mr Reasonable has won the election this lot will quickly give him the heave ho and suddenly we will see a Government that makes the SNP look competent. I suspect that within 12 months the cost of living costs will drop, there will be some sort of legal control on immigration and a workable fudge on NI, there will be a hung parliament and there will be a mess for a while until one or other Party actually gets itself organised. There is anger at the Tories for getting the country in a mess, but most sane people will look at Labour and walk away, Reform will attract a lot of votes but fail to get a seat, is my view today, but quite prepared to re-forecast if things change. The problem being that closer to the GE Starmer will become all things to all people, in other words he'll be touting out all sorts of nonsense, then when he gets the keys to No.10 he'll only do the bits that suits his rejoin EU agenda.
Nothing will stop him for at least 4 years, by which time the country will be well and truly fucked, sorry but I'd rather stick with the Devil we know.

Given that 50% of the change is from Tory to Labour, it's hard to see how you've arrived at that conclusion? But it is not a direct switch - Tory supporters are deserting the party over its failure to be conservative. They are going to Reform or sitting at home on their hands. The idea that Tory supporters want higher taxes, more public spending, more immigration and less defence spending is rather silly i'm sure you would agree. According to that poll, 50% were Tory to Labour, 25% Tory to Reform and 50% Tory to LibDems. That, if you were going to prescribe the issue as being a left right switch would actually suggest that the opposite. Personally I don't think it's that, I think that it's more about competence. The downfall of multiple ministers, multiple prime ministers and the failure of policies are all taking their toll. I think Sunak is probably the right man to steady the ship, but it may be too much to convince the country in less than 2 years.

just a bloody hint of what is in their non existent manifesto would be a good start. Even stammer doesn’t know what he stands for…..Like you have stated mate he will be all things to all people…….And he will only be a place holder for the closet corbynites and other criminals which make up the so called Labour Party.

It's what they don't say in their manifesto (when and if it ever surfaces) we should all be worried about, I suspect they've got policies, but not ones they want us to know about, if we knew their real plans if they get in to office we'd be horrified, sad part is Jonks people are going to fall for it, Starmer and the Labour party want back on that EU gravy train, and the rest of us can get fucked.

Manifestos only come out for elections. Not sure why you're looking for one now?

Manifestos only come out for elections. Not sure why you're looking for one now? They don't conjure up manifestos over night, you generally get the gist of what's going to be in them, up to now we haven't got a fuckin clue.

Manifestos only come out for elections. Not sure why you're looking for one now? A statement which renders your OP rather pointless.

In what way? 🤔 I never mentioned manifestos (that was Fairsociety), I asked what the Tories had to do to improve their position. Pacifico put forward a theory, I don't agree with him, but it was a reasonable post and I argued against it. Why can't you do the same?

The lefties miss Boris. Rishi doesn’t trigger them so often. I'm sure that's true, but is it enough to rescue the Tories in less than 2 years?

Manifestos are basically polices of a political party in the run up to GE, so of course manifestos are relevant, during the course of between now and the next GE we need to see the policies of Labour that will be the basis of their manifesto, so far they've got no polices, so what you are saying they wont have any policies until the GE which will form their manifesto?

Exactly, Starmer's got no polices because he's waiting until the 11th hour to see what would be a popular vote winners, that's fuckin Keir Scammer all over.
