I quote from an earlier post: But there is one big difference, the establishment will be out in force to show their disgust at Carrick's crimes. Yet the same establishment are silent when it comes to grooming gangs. The subject of this thread was a Met police officer — not especially active in a northern community, not a taxi driver, and not kebab shop owner. Perhaps the reference to wrong doing in other places was intended to be helpful — but that intention remains hidden… It wasn't a deflection, it was an honest comment. The crimes of Carrick are horrendous, but worse than a gang of men taking it in turns to repeatedly rape a child? Yet senior police officers and politicians will scramble to be seen to apologise for the actions of Carrick. Yet when the next Pakistani grooming gang scandal happens, as it will, the same senior police officers and politicians will be silent, again. It seems you hit a raw nerve mate.....LOL

That’s just more attempted deflection… You and the establishment would of course prefer it if no one mentioned grooming gangs, hush it up, yes? As Labour MP Naz Shah said "grooming gang victims should shut up for the sake of diversity". You must be very proud of her. Tell me to shut up about it and like Mrs Doyle, I will go on and on and on because it's the biggest scandal in my lifetime. Its the fucking biggest in theirs mate but they haven't got the balls to admit to the FACT.....

It seems the Attorney General has received multiple requests to appeal Carrick's 32 year sentence before he can be considered for parole. Apparently some people think his sentence is unduly lenient. He is 48 now and will be 80 before he is considered for parole. By that age he will be institutionalised in a comfortable cat D prison. He will have no worries and probably quite a comfortable life at taxpayers expense. It currently costs c£50k a year to incarcerate one felon. He would in all likelihood at that age prefer to stay in his comfortable and familiar surroundings. Therefor people who today are demanding a longer sentence are quite possibly doing him a favour.

Personally, I'd have him shot at dawn. But the best we can expect of our woeful system is to keep the nasty sicko behind bars for the rest of his natural life. As RR says, 30 years might be enough.

If he does not top himself , or is not done in by other inmates if they can get to him The Judge did not stipulated he should serve a whole life tariff but did say he should serve at least 30 years and 239 days in prison, only then if still alive will he be eligible to apply for parole, has a chance to be released in October 2053, by which time he will be at least 78 years old. Some do not think his sentence was long enough , it may mean that the Court of Appeal if a Petition is launched could might be asked to consider increasing his sentence

Understandable when yet again their anti immigrant oft resurrected supremacist diatribe gets eroded by the antics of some native sons — especially those who are meant to keep law and order. They ignore the need for the police be reformed so that its officers can be justifiably be regarded as honest and reliable as they once were? It will be a difficult task — not any easier now schools are advising pupils not to automatically regard lone police officers as help in times of worry and/or distress…

The police have been 'reformed'. Possibly — but as/into what...?
Fionnuala Kennedy, head of the £21,000 a year Wimbledon High School, said she is “breathless with anger” at the “failing of the Met police to protect girls and women”. She spoke out following the conviction of David Carrick who carried out a campaign of sex offences while a serving officer, the latest in a series of scandals involving Met officers.
She warned that teachers now have to balance encouraging girls to be confident, with giving them practical tips on staying safe, including the advice: “Don’t allow a lone policeman to approach you, at any time.”
Her comments came after Met Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley admitted he cannot promise women in London that police officers to whom they report crimes are not themselves sex offenders.

According to the lefties a small minority of predatory trans men can’t define the group. Apparently there are not enough sex attacks in toilets and changing rooms for them. Now schools are encouraging pupils that a very very small minority of policemen can define all police officers . Where are the lefties to support the police ?

Yes. A very very small minority of policemen lauded by a very very small minority of policemen. How many policemen knew that Carrick was a rapist ? You have no idea, have you ? If you experienced the 95% boredom 5% Terror of some ( not all ) police officers you might appreciate their gallows humour. I refer the the nicknames . Please provide evidence of abused victim photos.

And why should we give credence to an excitable melt representing a school for the over-privileged? Hers seems to be dangerous and irresponsible advice. Does she similarly advise her pupils to avoid medical attention "Because Harold Shipman"? If I had a child at that school I'd be asking serious questions about her professional ability.
Perhaps she should Google "Paedophile teachers", which brings up over 2.5 million hits, and demonstrates a far more clear and present danger to her pupils.

More attempted deflection.
And how do you dismiss Met Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley admitting that he cannot promise women in London that police officers to whom they report crimes are not themselves sex offenders?
He says in his intro to the Met Turnaround Plan 2023-2025:
We have to tackle standards issues head on. We have been too weak in countering racism, misogyny, homophobia and ableism. We have let down those we’re here to protect – particularly London’s Black communities, women and girls and the LGBTQ+ community. His Majesty‘s Inspectorate of Constabulary has placed the Met on an improvement programme and the interim report from Baroness Casey laid bare serious failures. I am determined to win back Londoners’ trust. We can succeed because of the dedicated, honest, often heroic, men and women who are the great majority of the Met. Our work has begun, but I must be candid. We cannot achieve the profound reforms needed quickly or without the ongoing help and support of wider policing, politicians, partner organisations and most of all, communities. Lifting the stone reveals painful truths that will not be resolved overnight, and it is critical that these truths cause none of us to lose our resolve to renew Peel’s vision of policing by consent.
