So can smoking. It's already virtually impossible to smoke anywhere that can cause harm to others. If you live the life of a hermit that's possibly true...So who is going to enforce this stupid law? Fox hunting was supposedly banned but Boxing Day told a different story.

What's next? A ban on unhealthy food? what about banning alcohol? I'm sure that would be popular with nanny state supporters. Winston Smith was still able to buy a bottle of Victory Gin. There's something very ironic in that. I think it was the case that post WW2 everything was a victory something or other. LOL. That's the way it's going.

Maybe they'll ban sex and alcohol and everyone there will be lots of people booking one way trips to Switzerland. Dignitas.

You can't smoke indoors in any public space or workplace. You can't smoke on public transport of any kind nor can you smoke in your own car if you have children or any works vehicle that you share with other workers (even if on your own at the time). Where exactly can you smoke where you can cause harm to others apart from in your own home?

Even if that was true (walk past almost any pub or bus stop), there’s usually a cloud of smokers debris and fumes to plough through. The times I’ve rushed up the steps of Leicester Sq tube only to gulp down a lung full of cigarette smoke when I reach the top. A while ago that may not have been noticeable but now, with Sadiq’s clean environment zone, the other major health hazard has become a genuine obstacle…

I wasn’t aware foxes were big tobacco users. If they were, they might not have reached the numbers to become the urban pests they currently are…

What with the exhaust fumes and viruses it's positively suicidal.

All those, used sensibly, can be accommodated and enjoyed.
I also enjoy shooting, but I understand and adhere to the regulations...
So can smoking. It's already virtually impossible to smoke anywhere that can cause harm to others. True, it can be safe . One of my old girlfriends used to smoke but never took her draws down. Well not for me anyway .

Maybe they'll ban sex and alcohol and everyone there will be lots of people booking one way trips to Switzerland. Dignitas. Even in its non-ingestive state alcohol is a good antibacterial antiviral cleanser. Sex also has as many upsides as there are associated positions and proclivities. But given your far-fetched scenario, the positive take is that they’d likely be paying their own way and freeing up services and space back in their homelands…

Well not for me anyway . Sounds like the Bill Clinton approach to cannabis. I wouldn't want to smoke one of his cigars though. I don't like the dip he uses.

I wasn’t aware foxes were big tobacco users. If they were, they might not have reached the numbers to become the urban pests they currently are… FFS I was giving that as an example of attempts at banning. Supposedly fox hunting has been banned but the hunters have different ideas the police attend these hunts just to keep the groups apart ie the pro hunters and the anti hunters or animal rights groups just to keep the peice. The police have neither the resources or the inclination to split arse across the countryside to see if a fox is killed ot not by hounds. Now that happens in broad daylught so how are they gong to enforce this stupid propsed tobbaco ban? Most people will smoke when they are in their own homes or driving or maybe a walk in the park etc. This is yet another lefty madcap idea put forward by a frigging lunatic that hasn't even thought about the practicalities. And just suppose they did catch anyone what would the fine be and would it incur a criminal record to the person that was caught?
