More a Daily Mail style rant based on conspiracy theorist predictions than anything remotely resembling a serious point. What you say you think left wingers might do in the future, as seen through the distorting lens of your own pejorative assumptions, is essentially unprovable and therefore invalid. We can all dream up things that might happen just to argue against them. I could say the Tories will eventually abolish food banks so that the poor are starving in the streets to encourage hard work. But I am not saying that because if I did I would be making it up. Doesn't stop you making things up though, informed only by your own prejudices and biased assumptions. |

It wasn't I who proved you are not worth debating with. Just got home from work where I had the time whilst doing some physical labour to reflect upon my own conduct. And I have realised that the recent acrimony between us was mostly triggered by me. Referring to you as a "mean spirited old git" or something like that - said when my blood was up - was an utterly uncalled for ad hominem attack. I wish to apologise to you for that. Indeed. That stupid flow chart utterly fails to acknowledge umpteen basic truths. For one thing it is virtually impossible anymore to function in society without internet access and you certainly need it for job seeking. And for the latter you need to be readily contactable by both phone, text and email by potential employers. A smartphone at least is thus a necessity and not a luxury. That idiotic chart also fails to acknowledge that other so called luxuries might have been bought and paid for in more prosperous times. It also fails to acknowledge that people can be out of work for legitimate reasons, ie caring or being chronically sick or disabled, or temporarily through no fault of their own due to being laid off or their employer going bust or anything like that. In other words that supposed flow chart is just mean-spirited, callous, and utterly ignorant bullshit, loved by mean-spirited, callous and utterly ignorant people. The kind who love emoting negatively against people less fortunate than themselves without actually doing too much thinking. |
