I'll never understand some of you lot. You whinge like fuck about scrounging pensioners who don't need the money yet 90% of you say you've never claimed a penny in welfare in your lives. So how the fuck do you know how the system works or what people have to go through to claim welfare? You don't. Of course there are scroungers in the system. There are scroungers and layabouts in every system. My bet is that 90% plus of you lot have fiddled the tax man, stole time from your employers and nicked a bit on the side when you could. Yeah, yeah. We all know about the legendary bloke you met in the pub or at a bus stop who told you he'd been fiddling welfare for 20 years. As if.
As to why you seem to think thousands of people other than yourselves have no pride and don't mind relying on food banks to feed their kids because they can't find a job for one reason or another, I do not know.

Oh I’m sure there are plenty of suggestions to raid pensions . The more raids on pensions the less incentive to save . Some might put their money into buying a more expensive house . Give it time and you lefties will be insisting on reducing the state pension and benefits according to the value of the pensioners home . When the working person realises that they will be penalised by thrift , prudence and hard work they will react accordingly…but that doesn’t matter as much as the warm fuzzy feeling of being a leftie pretend Robin Hood . |

Now, back to the plot. According to the government pensions website I am currently two years short of having paid for the maximum state pension and, by the time I actually retire, I will have paid several years beyond that and yet I won't see a single extra penny for my additional contributions. So I've paid for it and I want it. And, if necessary, I shall divest myself of other income streams in order to ensure that I do. Us wealthier people can do that you see.  |

Just got home from work where I had the time whilst doing some physical labour to reflect upon my own conduct. And I have realised that the recent acrimony between us was mostly triggered by me. Referring to you as a "mean spirited old git" or something like that - said when my blood was up - was an utterly uncalled for ad hominem attack. I wish to apologise to you for that. Responding in kind to that sort of stuff from others is one thing but initiating it myself is wrong. You didn't deserve that. I am sorry. |

The great leveller would be to significantly raise the age that you can claim a state pension . Something I suspect that the lefties will dismiss as it would affect them , rather than someone else of whom they envy. Oh I see. Something guaranteed not to affect you, naturally.
