That's nothing. Annually we spend £216 billion on benefits, so we should cull benefits across the board and especially for those who have not contributed to the system.

That figure includes pensions and other benefits for pensioners. I do think that when it comes to saving money, rather than removing it from those who desperately need it we should stop giving handouts to better off people, an example of which includes perks being thrown at wealthier pensioners who clearly don't need it.

We have too many non-contributors leeching off the system. Stealing from people who've paid into the system all of their lives will not solve that.

I could draw benefits additional to my pensions but I don't; I do begrudge paying taxes on my pensions, only for society leeches to claim benefits.

A lot of those so called "leeches" claiming benefits are your fellow pensioners. Others include the chronically sick and disabled. And many millions are hard working people on piss poor pay paying rip off rents. So if you are fortunate enough to be able to pay your taxes, just pay the fucking things and stop being a mean-spirited old git whingeing about it, And if you are short of cash but not claiming what you are entitled to then that's your own fault.

Giving handouts we cannot afford to the rich just because they are old is utterly unnecessary so if money is tight this is the first thing that should be stopped. What is it about right wingers who resent handouts to the needy but defend them for the rich? It is a thoroughly perverted sense of priorities.

Am I right in thinking you once quit this forum, if so please repeat and cut out the shite. I didn't refer to any of those you mention who would appear to be entitled to benefits. Now ffs find a better mood instead of acting as if you are mentally injured.

But you seem happy to demonise pensioners in favour of illegals who should not be in this country and are costing us £billions. What is it about lefties who have absolutely no sense of what is right & wrong.

Maybe you should report them to the Authroitys.

So you dont get cold weather payments' cost of living payments, free precriptians , free TV LIcence or social care needs and you talk about society leechs who claim benefits lol

What is it about lefties who have absolutely no sense of what is right & wrong. I am not demonising pensioners, merely pointing out that the richer ones don't need taxpayer funded handouts, just as the richer ones amongst any other age group do not. Instead you think we should take money from the genuinely needy. What is it about right wingers who have absolutely no sense of what is right and wrong?
