The populist Right in the style of Farage, Trump, Le Pen and their ilk, blame every problem on immigrants or immigration, from crime to failing public services, from housing to desease, its always the fault of the foreigner. This was the baseline from where the Nazi's began, in the midst of a depression, it was the Jews fault, they were to blame for the depravation and poverty, they caused the unemployment and hunger.This is not Conservatism, it is something different, and Farage and Lee Anderson are not Conservatives, a real Conservative would not say the kinds of things ( including lies ) that Lee Anderson frequently comes out with. I absolutely guarantee that if moves are made to form some kind of amalgamation between the Tories and Reform UK, the Tory Party will divide and split, because a lot of Conservatives wont go along with it.  |

Indeed, but no one will be more concerned about the shallow depth of the Labour 'landslide', than Labour. Starmer won with 30% of the vote, in 2019 Corbyn lost with 40%. Yes, Corbyn was more popular than Starmer. Labour didn't win because they're popular, the election was handed to Starmer because people were fed up with the Tories, it was the most loveless election victory in living memory and Labour know it. Don't think that many would disagree with that analysis. Reform UK will change the political landscape, of course you will scoff, to be expected. But the fact is the vast majority of people are sick to death of having their concerns over immigration ignored. They are sick of being shouted down as racists for questioning the illegal invasion. You will be thrilled at the prospect of five years of a pro EU pro immigration Labour government, but I kid you not, in five years time support for Reform UK will be massive. Reform's motive was clear - to destroy the Tories. You got exactly what you voted for. The Tories have 5 years to recover. Harsh but fair. |

Diane Abbott has shown that you can have degree and still be as thick as shit . I think you will find many Tories as thick as shit as well. They don't sound it as they have the gift of the gab, as in the public school accent which fools a lot of people. You can only really find it out if you asked them a particular question which needs an exact answer. You never see the media ask them something of this sort, so they can ramble a load of waffle at the audience. A lot of people are like this. They know thier own particular job, but anything else and they are entirely vacuous. I’m sure a lot of Lib Dem’s, greens and CCP members are as thick as shit too but Diane Abbott is a good example. |

If people wanted to pay higher taxes (they don't) they would not have voted for a party that had this in their manifesto. 'Labour will not increase taxes on working people, which is why we will not increase national insurance, the basic, higher, or additional rates of income tax, or VAT.'
What is popular is the idea that someone else should pay higher taxes...  But not the super rich apparently who remain untouched. Instead it’s business again which gets the bum deal. Employers NI going up and ever increasing minimum wage. When pensioners were getting a bum deal ( they still might get more) it was fine . |

how many years have I been saying that what happened in scotland regarding the big main two parties could easily happen in england .I think we have reached that point. Looks like the English , like us , have had just about enough of labour and conservative. Reform will take many seats of labour , have no doubt , at last poll at least 23 seats. after 5 years of this shitshow? I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see labour and tory down to their worst ever seat numbers in modern history. Well the slide to the Right is on its way in many places, it is a recipe for disaster. Indeed. Iirc they disbanded the Special patrol group and bent over backwards to placate the black people in Broadwater farm . The SPG were banned from entering the Broadwater Farm long before the Riot and murder of Keith took place, reason being the SPG used to work areas across London where Street Robberies were common , they had Officers in plain clothes on the known hotspots with their Vans containing Officers in Uniform as back up and transport prisoners. If they worked the Tottenham area as street Robberies happened constantly their instructions were if you chase a suspect or suspects if they enter the Farm do not go in after them, the Deck as it was called was the first floor there was a Laundrette and a Youth Club from which Drugs were dealt 24/7 it was also used to store stolen goods from burglaries and weapons. Local Police Officers did prior to the Riot Patrolled always at least two or four the Farm during the daylight hours, they made sure they either stayed out in the open away from the buildings or under the overhangs as the little dears many of whom did not live on the Farm used to try and kill an Officer by dropping old TV's and even Fridges and washing machines on them A woman called Dolly Kiffin was Administer of the Farm she ran the Finances provided by the Local Council for repairs etc she was very prominent in the riot, some years later she was arrested charged and Convicted for Fraud False Accounting she stole some of the Rate Payers Money, an odious women, The Estate should never have been built, the area was an actual Farm where locals could walk and picnic, when the owner died the land was left to the locals in the owners will to be used as place for locals to enjoy, years later surprise surprise after a number of failed attempts to take possession of the Farm and build on the land by the local Council the paperwork was lost and the flats were built Interesting. I believe labour run Wales is in the process of having policing devolved , so its going to be interesting how welsh labour make a mess of policing like every fucking other thing they touch . Just like labour in scotland did with policing when they were last in power..... Yup. Every bad decision from Labour will be excused by diverting the narrative to the Tories . I suspect this shit show has given some comfort and incentive to the SNP. |
