Who's invented this 'unconscious bias' nonsense Example of a unconscious bias? 1. Race bias. Making a statement like, “When I look at you, I don't see color.” Comments like this remove the acknowledgment of a person's skin color and invalidate their racial, ethnic, and cultural identity, which can be an important part of their lived experience.
Ok then so when I meet a person of colour I should say "When I look at you, I see colour'
lmao If I said that in the work place I'd be fired on the spot lol

In other words unconscious bias means what ever you say can be twisted in to being racist.
Fabulous.

So non-British can hold an unconscious bias that the white British consider them inferior when they dont.
probably explains why some people see racism everywhere.

You've just made a unconscious bias statement.
non-white British as you call them would be offended if you called them 'non-white British', we must not include colour in such instances, that statement suggests segregation, when we are all 'equal'.
They would prefer to be collectively known as 'British'.
You have just made a unconscious bias remark.
shame on you.

Imagine Lady Susan Hussey said to Ngozi Fulani "are you non-white British"? Hussey would have been called racist for that statement.
Can't win.

Yes and no I'd say the most prevalent form of unconscious bias is judging that a woman can't do a job, certainly that's the form I most often saw as a manager of managers. It does also happen with racial differences (both ways) but the training and experiences I had suggests that form of bias is more often overt.

Well it would have been bias unless she went up every white person and said 'are you white non-British' If the first interactions someone has with someone are driven by reacting to their colour then they are both biased and ignorant. End of.
