What a load of DM bollocks. I work in the civil service and there's currently a Christmas tree in every office and yes, we're going out on the lash (several times, actually).
No one's offended and of course the non-drinkers are invited.

I see, so what you're saying is, because you claim to work in the civil service which lets face it, could mean you're a cleaner, it is totally impossible that the civil service told people to call Christmas parties, festive gatherings, as the Daily Mail claim. I work for one of the largest civil service departments in the UK and for the last few weeks I've been on a number of training courses, visting other large civil service departments, and nowhere have I seen or heard anything like you're claiming.
I haven't read the articles, I don't need to, because I know it's absolute bollocks.

The article in the DM makes it clear this is an isolated incident for anyone who bothers to read it while choosing a headline designed to give the impression that the practice is widespread and dictated from the top. Unless like TSM you are of the opinion that it's a conspiracy, that the Daily Mail and Telegraph are intentionally conspiring to tell lies? LOL, what, what, what... Yes I think I have a grasp of how the MSM works. My daughter is a director of PR firm who works closely with the mainstream media, her husband has worked for the Times and the Mail and now works in TV. I'm not an expert but they are, and I have an idea how it works. These training courses you recently attended, anything to do with critical race theory, or unconscious bias training, perhaps inclusion and diversity training is now on your CV. Whatever, I'm sure you're an assett to the civil service.  |
