i think Amesbury had a 14,000 majority it would need to be some big swing for reform to win' Indeed yes, nearly 15,000 actually. But that was before voters realised Labour lied their way into power, and before Rachel from accounts hit us with her budget. After the last three months I doubt Labour would win a by-election anywhere in the country, and Starmer knows it.

The specialist cable manufacturer, which had revenues of £50 million in 2023, exports fibre optic cables to internet providers around the world and employs 150 people in its British factories. the company has now decided to outsource production to India or China following the new Labour Government’s first Budget. Connectix is thought to be the first business to shutter production in Britain because of the Chancellor’s tax and spend policies.

Labour are in now and are stifling businesses as best they can. If you think that will be without economic casualties, think again.

I suspect a combination of employees losing jobs , customers facing yet more punitive price rises , and general cutbacks if not wholesale closing down of many business like this guy and relocation will be the result over the next 5 months or so. As honest John suggests to you , labour are stifling business , with their anti growth budget. surprise surprise.

Ref Mike 'Rocky' Amesbury... I notice the police have said he will appear in court charged with assault 'at a later date'. I hope they don't think this will go away if no one talks about it. Actually, I doubt Farage would allow that to happen, in Amesbury's constituency Reform UK came second behind Labour, so it would be reasonable to assume they would win a by-election. i think Amesbury had a 14,000 majority it would need to be some big swing for reform to win' He had a majority from the only 79% of the electorate that could be even arsed to vote doofus..

Labour are hemorrhaging seats in bielections Indeed, and although it's bad press for Labour I don't think Starmer will be overly concerned due to his huge majority.
