You don’t seem open minded . You seem to believe everything that Chinese funded videos and CCP propaganda wants you to believe . Maybe I just give the wrong impression. Some things I have verified and some not. The story of the F35 is not one I heard elsewhere, but I put it up out of interest. I welcome those who find fault in things as it helps me with my own accuracy. There's always the odd thing you believed for years but someone told it to you who was wrong. Wiki is my best guide. I'm finding it great fro biochemisty issues as it carries references to the latest science. In 1967 my French teacher told the class that his daughter had informed him that a device called a Neutron bomb existed. This nuclear device had a low energy yield but a high radiation yield . It could be used to kill people while keeping damage to infrastructure to the minimum . I told my older brother( my fathers favourite ) when I got home. He told me it was rubbish but it was , of course , true. A few years earlier the same brother told my father that there was a large bird called a Chipolata and my father believed him. That , of course , was false . My father was no fool and used to tell us to believe nothing that you hear and only half of what you see but he believed his favourite son because he wanted to.

There is another way of looking at it where one takes the society as a whole, as no one acts alone. It's an information network, a bit like a human brain in fact. Information flows back and forth between people as it does from one part of the brain to another. Several things can go wrong though. The receivers might have their ears closed so signals are transmitted and not received. Likewise the transmitters might shut up and stop transmitting, or the other way it goes wrong is if the data is corrupted between the two. It's a bit of a fractal in that you have networks within networks, right down the family itself. It should be clear that any malfunction here is going to impede the development of the society. It will fall behind. The same could be said of its constituents, like the various companies and institutions. The thing is, if you met someone who believed everything, it could well mean he is from a group that has near perfect transmission of information, implying the group is a a lot smarter as it has developed much faster.
This is one of those things where there is a simple theory as stated by yourself, but then there is a subtler sneaky effect that overrides it and produces the opposite result. People in labs often see experiments go completely the wrong direction to how they theorised it.The rule of thumb is, just because something looks obvious, does not guarantee it. Indeed there is an ongoing debate about patent law and should we scrap the idea altogether. Without patents, there would be no blockages in the employment of technology. This argue the other way from the commercial incentive effect.
Anyhow, China works the other way. They share everything in their traditional culture. The ownership of an idea is a foreign concept.

Yes they do steal ideas and make a lot of fake designer gear.

Yes they do steal ideas and make a lot of fake designer gear. Yeah well, I think the attitude amongst the fashionable young Chinese girls is fuck the yanks. I'll have an Iphone made here for 200 RMB from local market. The thing is they do actually work ok as phones. If Apple charged a people's price then they would be a big hit, but they know they are rip-off. It's just the kind of market China is.

Another is that they are intellectual parasites that can’t be trusted.

That’s one way of looking at it. Another is that they are intellectual parasites that can’t be trusted. It depends on the company. China feels a bit more like our country was years back. You always had your dodgy market stalls and no one really gave a shit. London was especially known for it, but it was at your poor end of society. You buy cheap and take your chances. Meanwhile it is a different story right at the top of the company stack with major firms like Huawei. They own a ton of 5G patents, but they don't charge a royalty for their use. There's a saying in the Chinese corporate sector of the "patent troll". A corporation looks bad if it cashes in on all its patents. You were talking about face a while back. I think this is an example. China does not like the whole idea of patents. Huawei collect them for the purpose of allowing them to use the tech so no one else can bar it from it, not to make a profit. Profit in China comes from being seen as a nice firm.

No, I found a channel or two which I think were put together by people who work for the firm. I can not imagine how they would know the intricate details of what goes on there if they did not. It was useful as you could pick up some understanding other than what the video was attempting to tell you. A lot of my understanding of life comes from incidental information people give away as they try and explain something else. It's a skill I have practiced for a very long time.

To me it is all information and each piece of information has a certain reliability factor to it. If you ever try and wear the boots of the master fact checker then you will end up looking as daft as when the BBC decided they were the master of fact checkers.

Anyway, I'm just trying to describe things as I see them. The culture is starting to make some sense to me, but it's not something you can pick up very easily. I'm sure if I lived in China I would learn faster, but we Brits are not at liberty to just go over there and live there. They are clamping down on the work visas a lot now. Min conditions would be roughly something like you have a large sum of money, you are married to a Chinese national and you can speak fluent Chinese and have a clean record, impressive CV and so on. I do respect them for it though. Britain seems to let in any old riffraff and we suffer greatly because of it.

China is not the only country which takes a hard line on immigration and foreign workers generally. Almost every country does, even the poorest.
The exceptions are all western liberal democracies.

If you took opinion as fact without judgement then you would be accepting opinion as fact .
