So eight pages in and See2 still can't tell what defines the "Far Right" other than he says so. Marvellous. π Nonsense ^^. It is not for me to define Far-Right or otherwise. Far-Right is a well established term, as too is Far-Left. If you and or others are not aware of that then I wonder what you are doing debating politics. The German's see the AfG as far-right so who are we to question them? IMO it is only those who wish to defend the Far-Right who question the term.

Actually it is incumbent on you to show how they are 'far right' just as it is incumbent on me to show that they are not. I have referred to policies and reviewed their policies and have asked what makes them 'far right' even as a starting point. You call them far right but do not indicate why other than to say lots of Germans do the same. Lots of people say would of instead of would have or accept instead of except. Just because lots of people do it does not make it right, getting it right or wrong is not a consensus argument it is one of being able to show how one is factually correct. You accept that the Germans call them far right but seem unable to explain in any size shape or form why you accept that description and what it is the AfD do or say that fits the far right label so eagerly affixed.

NO! it is absolutely not up to me. I have answered your reference to policies published. The further to the extremes of politics one goes, the greater the political extremism is in practice, which is why they are out on the extreme wings of politics in the first place. That is the lesson from history. According to history, Wolves in Sheep's Clothing seems to fit them perfectly. I suggest you stop your naive attempts to defend the Far-Right. Just come clean and admit you are of the far right.

I could find nothing in their policies that could lead to the conclusion that they are far right. So far you have said they are far right and you back it up by saying lots of Germans say they are, I say they are, it is self evident they are, they lie, history tells us and if people do not understand what far right is then what are they doing debating on a politics forum. None of which of course tells us what is far right as regards the AfD. So what is it about the AfD that makes them far right?

As I have posted previously, if you have an argument about whether or not the AfG is far-right, you have that argument with the German political system, NOT WITH ME.

My position seems to wind up those who seem to want to defend the far-right.

So you only post the claim, can we take it you do not necessarily agree with the claim? We know you have some sympathy for the claim because you said "And the last thing I wish to see is the West naively slipping into Rightist thinking, thus opening the path to Rightist extremism, as in the case of the progress made by the German AfD." So far we cannot get from you what rightist thinking is, although you are extremely worried about it. You do not wish to see the path opened for the likes of the AfD who are extremists in Rightist thinking but you do not seem able to explain what Rightist thinking is and what its extremities are yet you are determined that we should all be on the look out for it and avoid naively supporting it. I am very unclear how we can avoid it if those warning us about it cannot tell us what it is other than lots of other people say it is that! with the pointy finger.

I accept the reality that the term exists for a reason, and I advise against people naively sliding into the danger areas of the far-right, dangerous as shown in history. So no matter how you put it, the evidence is out there for you to ponder upon, without hounding me. None of which alters MY CHOICE not to define the Far-Right, especially when history does an excellent job of already doing it. My politics cover some of the left of center politics and some of the right of center politics, what's your political position?

My politics cover some of the left of center politics and some of the right of center politics, what's your political position? Of course the term exists it is used in the modern day setting as a form of abuse and as a means to denigrate and where possible delegitimise parties and individuals seeking a democratic mandate. It is a name is supposed to conjure up from history Nazis, authoritarianism, racism and genocide and is clearly supposed to create fear in those who may consider voting for those so labelled. All who so label others seem to either 'choose' or refuse to define how they know that the X party, whoever they may be, are far right but wish everyone to rest assured 'they know' as they not only have political nous but are honest men. It is a very superior attitude that does not deliver the goods and gradually people are seeing through it. My politics are to the left in a National/ethnic setting which makes me for many, who seem to hark back to the Comintern, of the right. Suffice to say we cannot save the world nor should we try but we can save the UK in the same way Germans are trying to save Germany, Hungarians trying to save Hungary and Italians trying to save Italy.

The democratic mandate still exists, it is often used as a WARNING because some very very nasty outcomes have spewed out of far-right controlled situations. You know that and I know it. I suggest you stop avoiding that reality.
