I see Pubs everywhere are rejoicing after Farage said if this passes he'll never go to a pub ever again. All The Best I think he meant, because there wont be any. Of course there will. The number of smokers is declining; more and more people want to be in a pub environment that doesn't have smoking. Long before this was even mentioned at least three local pubs banned smoking in their outdoor areas, because the smokers were causing more and more non-smokers to not bother attending. The money lost by having no outdoor smoking area was more than made up by having more and more non-smoking customers. Food sales increased as well, as people were o longer having their meals ruined by second-hand smoke. All The Best

I'm surprised the Vinny and Piggy Show hasn't accused him of Kremlinism. Still, he should be at Mosque, not pubs. Drink is haram.

All The Best Many pubs are now apartment blocks, and those that are left are teetering on the edge, this will push them over, no one is going to run a pub to break even or even lose money, so far Landlords are selling up because of the capital gains, pubs are now going to close with the smoking ban and no doubt Reeves budget will put up the price of beer, wines, and spirits, working pensioners are going to pack in because Labour are cancelling state pensions for any pensioner earning over £30,000 a year, fuel duty and road tax going up so two car families will just use one car.
Who the fuck is left to pay all these taxes, Labour will be sitting their scratching their dumb heads wondering why tax revenue has plummeted, and panicking wondering how they are going to keep all these illegals in hotels, 3 hot meals a day, clothing, phones and pocket money, people will just pack their jobs in.

Tax Revenue has plummeted for years because we have let huge companies with £Billions in turn-over and profit get away with moving money to low tax jurisdictions, rather than paying their dues in the country where they made the money. As long as we continue adhering to this discredited model of economic suicide NOTHING will change. All The Best

Typical left wing authoritarian socialist government, all they want to do is impose restrictions and ban things, including free speech. My only thought is, how long before the riots?.. To be fair didn't the conservative manifesto contain a policy to gradually ban smoking everywhere? It was already proposed by Sunak before the election, but when it was called early there wasn't enough time to get it through parliament. Labour agreed to keep it in play, but are suggesting amendments.

As I said the few pubs that banned "pub garden smoking" locally are usually busier than those that haven't. Most smokers can abstain for a few hours and still enjoy a night out with non-smoking friends. But having your food ruined by someone else's second-hand-smoke can only be abstained from by not going to pubs that permit smoking. All The Best
