That's just you being smug and lacking foresight. The total GDP of the entire bloc is what is important as far as we are concerned. I mean take the example of lets say, we think we will fight them. Well here GDP of the two bloc is what will determine the outcome. That and population. Also one thing that is causing Western economic problems is the size of the markets. If you are going to build EVs cheaply, you need to run a good million off your production lines. It's really cut throat business with China taking minimum profit per car in order to bid for market share, thereby realising economy of scale. If you looked at this mathematically you would see they will win with this approach. Our firms will go bust in a free market and if you build a wall around you then you are going to be the Soviet Union and see your technology regress relative to the other side. Besides my predictions on Chinese technology have been accurate so far. You guys reckoned they would never catch up and always produce cheap crap. Well they are now world leaders in many areas, battery technology is just one of them. Either we work with them, share our technology so we can get a slice of the profits, or we waste our technology because we are never going to be able to produce as cheaply as China. To demonstrate how crap we have become, we are supposed to be leading in the service sector economy, yet the postman can't even deliver the post the right fucking road. It's really worse than you imagine here. We are in no fit state to take them on and it would be foolish even if we were.
By the way, your point about GDP of this country. Take a look at the GDP of some of our tax havens and I think you will see what that is all about. It's creative accounting. I know people don't have that much money by the type of shops in this country and what they sell. In one or two areas it is different, as we have a fair few elite banker types, but money is tight across Britain in most parts. Most of our industry is now foreign-owned. It's also shit.

There are a lot of uncomfortable truths in that post ^

BRICS is not only economically a joke, but a club of countries with shit human rights records and shit governments. Sanctions are the best option. There are many reasons for it. Some places are just primitive. We had the church run us for a great long time and the church governed on a moral basis. The thing is China is more like us than like these uncivilised places. They too have had a long period of cultural development and civilised society. They had a rough time for a century or so, but now are well clear of it. They do recognise we Brits have some good qualities as well. It's the governments we have had who have pissed them off, the people who visit from Britain are treated very well. Islam is the thing that you have to watch out for. In the last couple of days there has been one stabbing murder in London, one none fatal one somewhere else and a house that was set alight killing a mother and her children. All of these are suspected of being these Islamists. We are attacking the people who want to be friends with us, and befriending those who want to kill us and take over our nation. Our country is losing its senses.

No, there aren't. It makes no sense economically and even less, socially.
China's government is an enemy, not an ally, same with Russia.
If you support them over us, emigrate.

I know for a fact the Chinese are good honest people and a pleasure to trade with. Sorry, but this country has well and truly gone to the dogs. You can't even speak to a human in our major firms if there is a problem. In China, if there is a problem you get someone to sort it out immediately. I mean like 5 seconds, not 25 minutes as it was with the local delivery firm here. Since we are incapable of managing a pissup in a brewery, if we had a few firms here run by the Chinese then things would improve no end. Britain is like India now, a total third world dump.

Xi Jinping and his regime are neither good, or honest.
That regime spies on us, it is our enemy. It's not that long ago Chinese spy balloons were discovered.
Huawei spyware is a known problem too.
Sanction the dictatorship.

Sanction the dictatorship. Your mind has been destroyed by propaganda. Huawei don't do spyware. You are just repeating lies.

It's certainly heading there and since America openly punished the UK for seeking independence from German political occupation I think it's safe to assume that being led by misguided loyalty isn't doing the UK any favours. You can't be a country where everything you do has to abide to some other country's interests, especially when it doesn't support your own. I guess this is why we have foreigners posing as something they're not on here.

You are being brainwashed. First sentence:
Can you spot what is wrong with this? It's the application of a brainwashing tool called neurolinguistic programming. The ambiguity here is part of the mechanism. It is also a circular argument. You must assess the state as hostile so you understand it is hostile. No wonder you are going around the bend. How much of this crap do you read?

Nothing wrong with criticising the dictatorship in China or the spyware companies inside it.

There are a lot of uncomfortable truths in that post ^ Perhaps so, but the Baron's prescription for success - that the West should become more like China - is one of those cases where the recommended treatment is worse than the ailment it is supposed to cure.
Of course he wouldn't know anything about that, he's never been to China and doesn't speak or read a word of the language. His impressions are formed by an addiction to carefully curated videos distributed in the West to mould opinion here. As well as cheap and tawdry junk he buys from mail-order companies whose main claim to fame is the ability to operate on ultra-low margins. He doesn't stop to reflect how that is possible, and the macro-economic effect on an entire economy which is structured that way.
As long as he gets his chips he just doesn't care.
