They wanted Putin to mount a counteroffensive in Kursk, which he hasn't done (because he can't). What the Ukrainians should do now is to go around and attack the Russians from behind and mount a pincer movement. Get round to Rostov. Take Rostov. Attack Russia's occupation force from behind. So the Ukrainians moved into Russia on the strength of an incorrect assumption. Yes but so far they are not.

The Ukrainians have moved into Russia to take Russian land and disrupt the Russian supply chain. Because they're now in Russia they're able to hit deep into Russia and knock out targets at airbases, they're able to attack targets around Moscow, they have hit the oil refinery at Rostov. They're hitting deep and its causing Putin severe problems. He's tried to counter attack but he can't. He hasn't the equipment.

But he has enough equipment to make gains in Donbas and possibly take a major Ukrainian hub.

The Ukrainians have factored everything in. They wouldn't have invaded Russia if they couldn't make it work. Putin has made a grave error and he's losing. In order to defeat Ukraine he needs to take Kyiv. That's why he attacked Kyiv to begin with.
They kicked his arse there, they're still kicking arse now. They've trapped a whole load of Russian conscripts in the Kursk region.
Their latest home grown cruise missile has a range of 1000km, it's based on the same weapon which destroyed Moskva but significantly upgraded. Very capable, capable of destroying the Kerch strait bridges.
They should use it. Trap the invaders in Crimea, cut off Crimea altogether and besiege it.

The video seems to question whether the Ukrainians have factored that in , as you appeared to only a few posts ago . Have you a secret source to the Ukrainian master plan of moving into Russia only to risk losing a major hub to the Russians ? Pokrovsk hasn't fallen. Meanwhile Russia is running so low on fuel it doesn't commercially export oil any more. The Russian economy is collapsing. Russian military industry cannot replace the losses. Russian military training cannot replace the losses. Putin is gambling everything on Donbas. Ukraine are in a position to outflank him. What will he do when his forces are attacked from behind?

Neither has Russia …and it’s getting very near an important Ukrainian hub. Ukraine isnt outflanking ‘ him’. As I said ..not good.

I think you're not paying attention to what happened last year when Prigozhin marched on Moscow exposing tremendous weaknesses in Russia's defence. How much land Ukraine have taken including in the Belgorod region. Or what happens when Ukraine circle round and attack occupation forces in Donbas from behind. Occupation forces whose supply lines are severed.

Ukraine have two choices, fight and live, surrender and die.
They are fighting and Ukraine is a very big country. Putin could end the war now.
But as long as Ukraine are under attack, they have to fight.
We haven't given them enough aid. But even with the pittance we've given them they've invaded Russia and they're taking out the Russian logistics. Pyrrhic Russian victories in Donbas will turn into defeat for Putin.
You cannot negotiate with people who want to kill you.
