The capacity for humans to act stupidly is vast, that the faults of the above are not addressed or acknowleged. The Russian state of mind occupies, not psychology, but psychiatry, the study of abnormal psychology. Not only that, but the only way to properly describe such is in a religious way, when the Russian way of thinking leaves bodies strewn everywhere.

Pleased to see that another bridge in Kursk Oblast has been destroyed. Smashing logistics is the way to degrade the enemy.
When the enemy cannot supply with fuel, ammunition, or even food, they cannot occupy Ukraine and will be forced to leave and make peace.

You have to admire the courage of the Ukrainians, but this is a war that should never have happened. The EU knew that Russia will never allow the expansion of NATO on its borders and that's exactly what the EU is doing. And Boris made a big error in getting the UK involved. When British tanks and American missiles are being used to attack Russia Putin is entitled to regard this as a breach of the promises he was given and he will use it to justify the war. This is a war between the EU and Russia and we're not part of the EU. If America wants to help the EU/Ukraine that's up to them but I suspect that their willingness to fund Ukraine may be dwindling, what with the Middle East being in danger of kicking off too.
When the free weapons supply dries up Ukraine will get overrun. But I'm not a "Putin supporter". I just think the blame for this war lies mainly with the EU.

But we appeased him for decades, Russia NATO council, we ignored his war crimes in Chechnya, we even looked the other way after Russian hitmen killed Alexander Litvinenko with radioactive poison from a Russian nuclear power station.
We allowed the Russian Mafia to launder money here and even buy football teams.
We emboldened him by being soft.

If you want to a real view of how good it is in Russia, then ask a Pole, Latvian or Estonian who lived when they were under the yolk of the Soviet Union.
There is a good reason why people do not want to live under Russian rule, and that is because they were far poorer, and life was far harder, and with far less freedoms as a result.
The only reason Putin dared attack Ukraine is because of how weak Joe Biden is on this. Even now, he's tepid about taking sides, and that emboldens Tyrants to move.
You may love or hate Trump, but Putin would not have dared pull this stunt while he was in power.

Putin can't afford to lose this pointless war. It was provoked by the EU (because of Van der Leyen's complete ignorance of foreign policy) and they broke their promises not to expand the spread of NATO. Now Finland and Sweden have joined NATO and the EU are talking about letting Ukraine into the EU and NATO. And British tanks are on Russiam territory and American missiles have been used against Russia.
This is crazy. Putin is a mad man and he has said that he won't draw the line at using nuclear weapons. He won't use them on Europe or the USA but he will use them against Ukraine if he needs to.
And where's the EU in this mess? No sign of them whatsoever. No strong leadership. We need Trump back - as Tinculin said this war would never have happened if Trump had been president.
