Also like you said Andrew it went a head without incident. But someone on here is trying to draw a comparison with the Ugly violence and riot after the vigil for the young girls Its like comparing Apples with pears

Only because they were Muslim...
Now if you'd have said Leeds, then I utterly condemn what went on there. For me there's no difference between the rioters in Leeds and those in Southport.
However there's eejits on this board saying that these riots were "excusable" and they had "mitigations". One eejit even claimed they were "law abiding", but he didn't make the same distinction with the Leeds riots. I wonder why.
To be fair to Bentley, he owned up to his mistake, and agreed that he'd mixed up Rochdale with Leeds.
There was no rioting in Rochdale.

Nothing like bending the truth a little Andrew, Firstly a mob assembled outside GMP Rochdale divisional HQ shouting abuse and threats at the officers inside. They were not confronted nor moved on presumably under pressure from senior officers and them pressured by our political masters and where the complaint of two tier policing comes in. There was chanting of Allahu Akbar which is deeply offensive and frightening because of its association with Muslim extremism and terrorism and remember that the arena bombing and Manchester are close by which occurred not that long ago. Now let’s look at the halfwit on the megaphone,”we can cause havoc and riot but not tonight but if we don’t get justice tomorrow these mother******* are going to get it. There was no rioting only because they are Muslim,Really Andrew? So what happened the authorities caved in and said the officer would be facing a criminal investigation that and footage emerged which showed an entirely different picture of the event.

There was chanting of Allahu Akbar which is deeply offensive and frightening. But not against the law, however offensive it may be. There was no rioting only because they are Muslim,Really Andrew? I wasn't saying that. I was referring to the posts that had been made.

Outside a family synagogue may give it a different tenor. So it may be against the law.

There is what is called the saying “That not only must justice be done it should be seen to be done” or words to that effect and the same must apply to policing.
I have no time for rioters black white or anything in between nor religious nutjobs and the law should be applied to all without fear or favour and sometimes it is not because of political interference.

What a load of shite ( Thank You Catherine Tate ) How the hell can the phrase "God is great" be offensive ? Please dont come back with some crap about "because of its association with this or that or the other" Face value "GOD IS GREAT" which could be a phrase used by Christians, but it is mostly used by Muslims, how about "Praise The Lord" could that be offensive ?, there was no rioting in Rochdale <--- Simple as that.
