Nothing like bending the truth a little Andrew, Firstly a mob assembled outside GMP Rochdale divisional HQ shouting abuse and threats at the officers inside. They were not confronted nor moved on presumably under pressure from senior officers and them pressured by our political masters and where the complaint of two tier policing comes in. There was chanting of Allahu Akbar which is deeply offensive and frightening because of its association with Muslim extremism and terrorism and remember that the arena bombing and Manchester are close by which occurred not that long ago. Now let’s look at the halfwit on the megaphone,”we can cause havoc and riot but not tonight but if we don’t get justice tomorrow these mother******* are going to get it. There was no rioting only because they are Muslim,Really Andrew? So what happened the authorities caved in and said the officer would be facing a criminal investigation that and footage emerged which showed an entirely different picture of the event. ( Thank You Catherine Tate ) How the hell can the phrase "God is great" be offensive ? Please dont come back with some crap about "because of its association with this or that or the other" Face value "GOD IS GREAT" which could be a phrase used by Christians, but it is mostly used by Muslims, how about "Praise The Lord" could that be offensive ?, there was no rioting in Rochdale <--- Simple as that. Yes I saw that and ignoring it selective as is the excuses made in another thread that we don’t know the full story regarding the respectable family which might have some merit but when the incident was first posted that didn’t show the assault on the police officers and so we didn’t have the full story many piled into condemn the police which was why I call double standards |

Personally I have always been a rebel, I believe in civil disobedience in the name of a just cause, and that is exactly what Martin Luther King was refering to "a just cause" .. equality, civil rights. During the many protests in the 1960s in the Southern states of America, there was very few instances of violent protest on behalf of the oppressed ( coloured people ), the violence was almost entirely committed against black people, by either white racists or the highly racist police forces. I personally refused to pay Margaret Thatchers Poll Tax, I went to the Magistrates Court, I helped to bring her down, for which I am very proud. Attacking people because they are coloured, Muslim, Asian or of an ethnic minority is not a just cause, neither is attempting to burn down Mosques or setting fire to hotels with people inside them, or criminal damage, looting or arson. I do not believe there will be any more riots, because the police, the CPS and our justice system has gone to great lengths in tracking down the perpetrators, and then come down extremely hard on them, dishing out the harshest of sentences. |
